1. Download the miner here:
https://pool.verters.com/index.php?page=gettingstarted

I start the mining direcltly by starting sgminer.exe. I have no .bat for starting it.

Then you only need to configure sgminer.conf.

This is my full config which you can use in sgminer.conf. But be sure if you use this, you are mining into my pocket. Change the username! But for test you can use it!

And no, randywald is not the password of my account! Only for mining Grin  Grin  Grin

I removed GPU settings because i don't know your type of gpu. So you run it in standard mode. thread-concurrency also seems not to be neccessary.

you can try also "sgminer --ndevs" that will tell you exactly where are your amd cards

how does it feel when ltcgear will be able to mine the lyra2re btw?

I'd like to see some proof first that they actually mined Scrypt-N...

Right.

here is a pic..

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9-AOU6DTuTPX2F6cnFGYXhBOU0/view?usp=sharing

dont know how to paste it directly here Sad

There appears to be an error in sgminer.conf, can you copy + paste it here?

Thank you on all your solutions, but none of them worked.

So this is my, at the moment, bat file (one of your solutions):

setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
sgminer.exe --algorithm Lyra2RE -o stratum+tcp://pool.verters.com:4444 -u xxxxx -p xxx

Also, i installed AMD Catalyst Omega 14.12 (i had Catalyst 8 before today)...

And this is error that is coming after I start bat file:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9-AOU6DTuTPWDgtZzdQTFE4Wms/view?usp=sharing

Still no luck with mining Sad

- and yes, i dont have sgminer.conf in the folder

the alg changed but the price did not change anything! why?

Algo change has no relationship to the price i would say. Mining is efficient, so people rather mine than buy at the moment. Maybe when diff is higher the price will also rise.

Will we see 1 Dollar again?

In my opinion, mining just switched from asic owners to gpu owners.  Buyers did not change.  There's no reason the price would change unless gpu miners dumping mentality differs from asic miners.  Regardless, we are mining now so price increase would be nice!

probably that's true, if as GPU miner you have now more-less 300% profit from 1kWh, you can dump 1/3 of coins to cover costs and hold the rest.
if you have an ASIC, you are probably more likely dumping all your coins (ASIC = expensive, short live toy)

Ah, I see. Here's my info:

Actual averages:

.test: 2.017MH/s
.office: 3.447MH/s
.1: 6.007MH/s
.2: 6.776MH/s
.3: 6.597MH/s
.4: 5.705MH/s
.5: 3.561MH/s

So as you can see, it's way off.

Are they AMD or nVidia miners? Pretty fast.

Test 1 and 2 are 7970/280x and the rest are 290s. No nvidia hardware in my farm so far.

My hashrate matches verters pool.  There's more to it than a constant multiplier I guess.

Yeah.. it finding out what *it* is so I can adjust it. Ultimately the displayed hashrate is just for comparative purposes. But it would be nice to get it right.

Why is Verters pool reporting much higher hashrate than it should? What are other good/working Lyra2RE pools? Wish OP would get updated.

Its reporting it because the diff adjustment for lyra2re is different to scrypt-n. So I had to add in a multiplier to the stats.

The multiplier is currently 1024 - and I've requested feedback from miners as to what they see on the site for their hashrate as compared to what they get on the mining console.

What is your real hashrate compared to what it shows?

my guess is that Vertcoin is old coin and have big value, so the price fluctuation is not very likely.
