Now Vertcoin is Lyra2re and fullfills it's promised asic resistance.

How about getting it on one of the big exchanges (BTC-E for expample!). They are living behind the moon thinking FTC is the real thing!

Anyone noticed that we are on 666 page?

The devil noticed and instantly started his mining rig Grin. I hope diff does not reach 666, too, now the devil is involved. Cheesy

I hope it does, and then... to the moon  Smiley

Mining @ 640kh/s with 270x right now... Anyone using 270x here? Just want to know what would be the peak hashrate of it  Cheesy

I have MSI R9 270 @ 585 KH/s.

But it is old 14.4 WHQL without any tweaks in miner software.

I'm trying to get a p2pool setup going using the Windows binaries from James. From what I can see, p2pool is running properly (I see it reporting on the blockchain), but I cannot connect to it with my other mining machine. I'm trying to use my regular vtc wallet address as my username, not the p2pool  address that appeared after install (actually I've tried both addresses).
"url" : "stratum+tcp://192.168.10.117:9171",

I  get errors related to 'json stratum auth failed' and i'm not sure why. What am I missing?
Any address should work, try someone else's p2pool node to make sure it's not because of your miner
for example: http://p2pool.crunchpool.com:9171/
since you are around  Grin
It seems the hashrate isn't reported correctly on your p2pool, I tried it and I was getting things like 20kh/s
Does the +0.00something appended at the end of the vtc address still works ?
I tried it, and I wasn't getting any share at all

By the way, is there a CPU miner?

i was asking the same. it looks that vertcoin is now GPU only.

I'm trying to use the windows release and I'm having issues getting sgminer loaded. It worked fine on James testnet prior to cutover, but since the I can't get sgminer to initialize properly.

Can anyone share R290 config I've got olny 500kh

I got only 280X, but try to play with these settings:

Code:
"intensity" : "14",
"worksize" : "64",
"kernel" : "Lyra2RE",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"gpu-engine" : "1024",
"gpu-fan" : "10-85",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500",
"gpu-powertune" : "0",
"temp-cutoff" : "75",
"temp-overheat" : "69",
"temp-target" : "65",
"api-listen" : true,
"api-mcast-port" : "4028",
"api-port" : "4028",
"auto-fan" : true,
"expiry" : "20",
"failover-switch-delay" : "60",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-platform" : "0",
"log" : "5",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"queue" : "1",
"scan-time" : "60",
"temp-hysteresis" : "3",
"shares" : "0",
"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin"

What your hashrate with those setting for the 280x?

840-880 per card

I get 813~836 kh/s at I=17 and Worksize=256 at 1050/1500 clocks. I don't know how people are getting around 1~1.1 Mh/s at 1020 or lower core speeds?!?!?!....

maybe they are using a non official miner Sad I also have 815 khs.

for those having low hashrate with ccminer:
append at the end of the command line "--diff 128".

That should fix it, please report your finding.

edit: actually the pool difficulty is also a bit too high (I am testing on give-me-coins now), if the difficulty was somewhat lower it would probably help

yes that helped me Smiley thank you Smiley

ccminer -a lyra2 -o stratum+tcp://*** -u S*** -p x --diff 128
Now the pool displays the correct hash, thank you.

on an other note, I can't get the correct hashrate on p2pool (crunchpool) even with diff 128 (and the number of share send is rather low for a p2pool)

what GPU are you using?

so who got the nice instamine? was it miners on verters? for the first 500 block x 50 it's about 25000 coins.

can't view the verters blocks as I am not registered there, and still can't register as they don't send out confirmation mails (tried two addresses)...

same problem.

We found 208,301 yes. We recently moved servers, and need to reconfigure the mail server. It does send out emails, however they may be blocked by SPAM rules etc. We are working on this issue.

A breakdown of who found what in the last 300 or so blocks is available here:
