Yes, we could do with a few at vtcpool.co.uk!

One of the longest running, most trusted VTC pools around

P2Pool (recommended) and traditional pool available for VTC

P2Pool: http://p2pool.vtcpool.co.uk:9171
Traditional MPOS pool: https://vtcpool.co.uk

P2Pool setup guide and FAQ

Why use p2pool?

  • Mined coins are deposited directly in your wallet in the generation payment for the block,
they are never held by a pool wallet and can't be lost due to failures or hacking/thefts
  • Even if the node you connect to fails, you don't lose the coins you mined - your shares are distributed on the network
  • Distributed (less vulnerable to DoS attacks, less chance of big pools having enough hashrate to be capable of a 51% attack)
  • Private (you are paid with coinbase transactions and your public key is never seen on the network until you spend the funds)

Feel free to use https://vtcpool.co.uk if you prefer a traditional pool. Especially, users with lower hashrates may find earnings
are better on the traditional pool. There is room for a mixture of pool types, but please help further strengthen the decentralisation
of Vertcoin by using p2pool if it works well for you.

To mine on p2pool, use your VTC address as username, and any password, so your command line should be like:

vertminer -o stratum+tcp://p2pool.vtcpool.co.uk:9171 -u Vw44xQPqgwbqZVpRzPoHe6M4jAGYceiZZP -p x

Please follow the advice in the P2Pool setup guide and FAQ about setting your minimum
share difficulty - this will prevent HW errors and stales and improve your mining income.

I just started mining VertCoin using http://vtc.pool.mn/

It looks great stat wise, no lag and no fee's. However, there are only a few miners so only a couple of blocks are found each day. I'd prefer to have a more regular payout! Anyone interested in joining this pool, or suggesting me another 0% lag-free VTC pool?  Grin

Votad entry in Mintpal VTC is a very good trading site, I changed Cryptsy for them, every day handle more volume, they are fast and smooth. Registered user 5 votes each time.
To those who criticize you can buy votes, so does Cryptsy ...

Yes i also I like the interface of mintpal, and never had trouble with them. Actually it is a bit ridiculous that they don't have VTC yet - you can clearly see that these voting systems are overwhelmed by miners who mine some shit coin that they want to dump asap before it dies. So I think we either should contact them directly and make clear that they are missing a major coin or we just should keep voting if we are on mintpal anyway. But I wouldn't recommend putting BTC into the voting system.

You're right in what you say that the ratings are used to enter almost worthless coins or future, but I assure you that the web is going perfect and volume eg BC in the last 24 hours is 464 BTCs. The entry of a currency as VTC could attract many buyers.

Also listed in currency market are 29 BTC compared with 104 having Cryptsy and dilution that entails.

Mintpal really has a lot garbage coins listed as Zeit Coin etc. therefore I think Mintpal is highly overrated. It's a good thing if they adopt VertCoin but if not, that won't hurt VTC either. VTC has strong community backing it up, that really is something during those hard crypto days. But I agree, mintpal must be blind or they orientate to much on their voting system..

Coinwarz will kill this coin  Angry

I think not. Unless some multipools add NScrypt coins and VTC in particular.
