Try adding some new nodes to its conf file if it's still not syncing. There's some on this page, and people keep adding more to it.

So the 1080ti is the best to mine vert with?
what kind of hash rate can you get with some 1070s? I wonder if its more cost effective to go the route of just getting a bunch of 1060s or better to get fewer 1080s.

Is there any way to store Vertcoins on a Ledger Nano S?
Not yet (i use one). I asked a few weeks the ledger company for VTC support, but did not get an answer. Maybe ask them the same question to get more VTC "noise" into there direction.
