FWIW, in my experience, if you've made it onto Vod's radar, more-oft-than-not, it's deserving due to some sort of unsavory behavior perpetrated against this community.
Vod for Global Moderator !
It is the "not" part that seems to be the point here Xian.
Nobody is perfect. I have to think the dude means well.
Why do you have to?
Based on my superficial view of his posts in the random threads I come across, he seems rather adept at uncovering scams and unsavory characters that mean to harm or defraud this community.

I could support VOD if there was a clearly identified impartial body that had the final decision of the outcome, whether it merely be a negative rep. remark or outright banishment.  But one person acting as cop, judge, jury, and executioner flies in the face of civic processes.  Fix that and unleash the VOD to patrol the nether-webs all you care to.  As long as a system exists with due process for both sides.

Piece of cake.  Random members can serve in a jury pool consisting of members representative of all levels, new and old.  Hell, why don't I just set that up for you kids real quick...

He might... and so might those complaining about him. Catch 22.

There is always more unseen than seen in these all or nothing propositions that get argued here. For me more concerned with some of these accounts just off view just purchased carrying out these crimes.

Vod certainly has gotten on people's nerves with his actions, but i have never seen anyone that got burned if he/she didn't deserve it in some way.
He says he's not a cop, but on this forum he sure is closest to that title, and if it was up to me i would hire him as staff, because without people like him this forum would be hackforums v2.

It takes guts to stand up to wrongdoing, especially when higher ranked members are involved, but Vod doesnt care; im confident that if even Theymos himself tried something unethical, Vod would
be the first one to flag him, and then back off to licking his boob..
If anything, he deserves more credit than what he's getting, but that's just my opinion.

cheers

Thanks, I needed a good laugh.

So if you're to get sued in court without having the opportunity to defend yourself, have an impartial jury of your peers weigh and ponder the evidence, and present evidence or testimony in your defense, you're cool with that?  Because Norh Korea has some awesome real estate.

All BS aside, this is getting a little out of hand and detracts from our chief aim of promoting all things BTC.  Can we get back to the party please?

And go Texas Rangers!

Still, it's not illegal when you're talking about laws, it's just against there TOS.

Ok, go ahead and start your "democratic petition" while you ignore everything the democracy stands for.

No wonder you hide behind an anonymous account.

 Roll Eyes

How am I ignoring everything it stands for? I'm just giving you my opinion. Anyways, I offered you an adult conversation, but you continue being childish. I will offer it for the last time. Explain to me how I'm wrong (and how I'm a scammer in your eyes) in a Skype conversation. If you can prove to me that I'm wrong, I will stop all business immediately.

But for real, stop being childish, it will make you look bad.

Just incase he does not understand the stolen part it's Microsoft OP chances are is stealing from.  There is no such thing as a MSDN account that allows sales.  Just look at the TOS

Your not allowed to:rent, lease, lend, resell, transfer, or sublicense any Services or portion thereof to or for third parties, except as explicitly permitted herein or in license terms that accompany any Services component;

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/cc300389.aspx

If you show license terms that Microsoft is allowing you to somehow do the above  you could prove it's legal.  But I personally have not seen this ever. The selling of keys killed Microsoft Technet.

For the 10,000th time, BREAKING A T.O.S. AGREEMENT IS NOT A CRIMINAL ACT. IT IS 100% WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF CIVIL CONTRACT LAW.

I'm not a cop, and I'm not enforcing criminal law.  Stop shouting!  Smiley

If your standard is that no TOS agreements should be violated, almost NO VIRTUAL GOODS would be allowed to be sold on the forum. Furthermore if it was illegal, it would be against forum rules, and the mods and admins would remove it themselves if reported! Therefore the only conclusion left is VOD has trouble controlling his impulses to order people around and start drama.

According to Microsoft terms (which you agreed to if you obtained the keys legally), you are not allowed to resell the keys.

So did you obtain these keys legally and agree to the terms not to resell, or did you obtain the keys illegally?

One or the other my scammer friend.   Wink

I did write something beneath it, but apparently it didn't appear (thus the quote without a reply). I said that selling MSDN keys isn't illegal at all. It's against Microsoft's TOS, but it's not illegal.

I'm not threatening you right now, I'm talking about real actions.

I'm thinking of a democratic petition which we can all sign to show the forum administrators and moderators that Vod is abusing his powers and is a threat to the stability of Bitcointalk.

I'm all for this - let's come out of the shadows and deal with this in the public legal system.

I'll win, and you'll be exposed.   Smiley

Bring it, scammer!

I'm not even in the shadows... I'm not trying to hide anything. Right now, there isn't any evidence that can bring you to court yet, but I will find it, don't worry.

Ok, I won't.  Smiley

Onto your next fake paypal account, Mr. Anonymous...

Look at you, acting like a little child. For real, do we want this kind of person to be basically in charge of the forum? I don't think so.
