Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.
It is actually moving, 2-3% up/down movement is quite huge compared to other trading assets or in forex. So still volatility over cryptocurrency is really high. You can't expect for 20-30% movement in crypto always, however some coins are still having 10%+ movement like +10% for XMR today https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monero/

actually you can expect 20-30% movements and even more in crypto always because when you say crypto and talk about the market in general then you are talking about nearly 1500 actively traded coins and at least a dozen are bound to be rising and falling that much. as you can see on coinmarketcap.com/all there are multiple coins that have been rising more than 10% today and even more that dropped more than 10% today.

the thing you can not expect is 20-30% drop in one altcoin every single day.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.

Volatility will never be gone as far as anything that is traded in an open market. Volatility is not peculiar to cryptocurrency like Bitcoin because it is also affecting forex, commodities, stocks, derivatives, futures, etc. However, when we talk about volatility it is more pronounced and so obvious in Bitcoin where anytime it can go down or go up very wild in comparison to other investment vehicle.

There are those who are saying that volatility is one of the hindrance for the mainstream adoption of Bitcoin as it can turned off many merchants. That can be true but without volatility I don't think Bitcoin will be as popular as it is today. But then again, we are looking forward for a time when its volatility can be more stable than it is now. The more speculators there are in the market, the bigger is the possibility for volatility and because of this there are those who are worrying the effect of the establishment of futures contracts in Bitcoin.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.

There are days where the price of Bitcoin or an altcoin doesn’t move much. Then there are days where there are huge changes. This is all based on supply, demand, news, etc.

There will continue to be volatility with all cryptocurrencies for years but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t slow days or even slow weeks. I think you will see Bitcoin have some price swings over the remainder of this year.

No,the market is still volatile.Volatility measures the variance of the price of a certain financial instrument within a certain period of time. The price of a coin can rise and fall quickly.A highly volatile instrument is regarded as risky and a less volatile instrument as less risky.
Therefore, it is important to understand the volatility of cryptocurrencies if you are looking to invest or trade in the cryptocurrency space.

Its the calm before the storm! Once the 8000 lvl gets retested a few more times, bitcoin will probably (hopefully) go for another leg up.

Now the volatility has decreased. Grow individual projects. Mainly bitcoin and its closest neighbors at the market cap Now almost no market smart money-all in the cue. And even if the project is good-looking he is not growing because everybody wanted to capitalize on the growth of the cue ball. And the endless fork. Now the ICO is useless.

If over mean is dead. Dead mean nobody trade it again. Some altcoin or token maybe is over.
But mostly is not over. I know mostly the price down but it does not mean the volatility is over.

Volatility could never be over unless all the crypto currencies are  banned all over the world which is next to impossible as the crypto currencies are being adopted at a rapid rate these days. The market might be still for some time but then its crypto and you have to face any situation that comes your way. I don't think volatility is over since BTC was dumped just a few days back and recovered today. So you might be having a misconception about the volatility.

Traders like this highly volatile markets because then only then can make a money on a regular basis if not, they can't earn money. But if you don't know how to trade then just buy some of the good coins and watch the price movements over a couple of years time your investments might go up many folds. Don't worry much about daily volatility of crypto markets, it is very common.

Volatility will always be present with crypto currencies. Many people treat it as a risky investment and are always easily swayed by news and rumor.
Don't worry about volatility. Use it to your advantage and trade. Buy the rumor and sell the news.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.

No, volatility is part of the cryptocurrencies market. And the price keeps moving along and I don't know what you are seeing but there are always small movement along. It will never be stable although at the current price of bitcoin one might think that is better to be this way.

Price swings in altcoin market is even greater than bitcoin. There are times that you will see a sudden surge of price on a certain coins and then in less than 30 minutes a full blown catastrophe ensures, causing the price to floor. So better correct your notion on the idea of volatility because it doesn't apply to cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.

Cryptocurrency market has been the most volatile market since its "inception". Even if we talk about doldrums, calm periods, there are +/- tens of percent daily volatility in major cryptos. I just don't get your point...

How quickly people get used to the craziness of crypto trading! Just yesterday, we had a $550 dip in BTC, followed by new all-time-highs, followed by another $450 dip. And some altcoins have been moving, too. DASH is up 17% on the day.

A lot of my low/micro cap altcoins have been moving, too. Bitcore (BTX) doubled recently, and so did Bridgecoin (BCO). And my Bitsend bags are doing nicely too, got a 30% + pump after being added to Upbit.

Lots of coins aren't moving -- yet. They will.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.

have you actually checked the market before saying this?
bitcoin has gone up about $300 and then fell $500 and went up $600 in the past 48 hours.
the altcoins for the most part followed the same pattern more or less. at least the top altcoins with high volume and USD market did.
there are currently a couple of other altcoins that are getting pumped as we speak. one of them is ZCoin which has been pumped about 60%. another is NXT which has been getting pumped for the past 2 days. I believe it has gone up nearly 100%. Dash has also been getting pumped although with a slower pace.

there are lots of others that are getting dumped. such as Gas, Ethos, Veritaseum, Ark. and soon all the coins that are being pumped today will be getting dumped like these.

you see, you just have to look around a little to find all the opportunities for profit all around you and then take advantage of them each day to build yourself some constant income.

So without it, everything has died for a long time and it would be even uninteresting. So volatility is the engine of progress, only thanks to it and the world is crypto-currency.

Volatility is over? No it wont happen. I would rather believe that the price had somehow steadying but not totally having no movement. Its not a possible thing,Bitcoin and any crypto would be always volatile but there are really days on where theres a calm moment after a storm and we did just witness that thing when bitcoins price is hitting up new ATH and now it stabilizes on this ranges.Just dont blink and be ready on the possible movement anytime.

Volatility can never be over when you talk about cryptocurrency. It is the very nature of crypto. I'm quite curious as to where you found data to support your claim that there's no movement in crypto right now.
