Narrowing down pumpkins was not easy, and nobody get mad at me.
I feel a bit randomness in my selection.. though I did kind of bias towards pumpkins that I perceived to have details.
I had to filter my narrowing down of pumpkins a couple of times and then draw from random with initially right around 20 pumpkins, so that was confusing me since that process did not work to narrow down the selection after I tried drawing randomly from that group...
So then I started over and I created another subgroup of 8 pumpkins (which ended up being a bit less random, just selecting the pumpkins that perceived to have details) and then at that point I just had to eliminate 3 in order to result in 5 pumpkins, and I am still thinking that I might have been a bit imprecise in the way I eliminated and then put them in order. The punchline is that:

I would like to propose the following requirement for the photos for the next year of the contest: that all contestants provide the main photo of their pumpkins in a certain ratio. For example, 4:3. Such a requirement will save those who will compose the photo as you do now from the need to crop, doing a lot of work. And the participants will provide photos of their pumpkins in the best form for them, and the ratio of the pumpkin in the photo.
I’ll keep this in mind.
This is related to preparation such as in an art exhibition where the organizer discusses in great detail with the owner of the work how the works want to be displayed, layout, lighting, and other arrangements. However, artists also want their work to be exhibited in the best and impressive way in the eyes of visitors because they have made it with great effort. I have some experience participating in art exhibitions in my city, so I kinda know how it should be.
p.s. I see mine is already as I want it, this is just for other participants who don't see theirs the same thing.
This is a for fun, free, competition that I started 3 years ago, and this being my second event. This is not an art exhibit at the Louvre.

I'll probably have to repeat myself, but I had to put a lot of effort into creating a readable bbcode for you to visualize and anonymize all the pumpkins so that voters wouldn't get lost among such a wide selection. Some users carved pumpkins from several sides, so due to the wide selection of photos, I chose photos at my own discretion. In any case, once again, Happy Halloween to everyone! 🎃

It is not so easy to choose from more than a hundred participants of this contest. It seems that each time the number of participants increases and what is more, the quality of the works too. It is not so easy to be among the prize places. With the help of my vote I will try to help these contenders for the "golden pumpkin".

Some amazing work all of you have done there. Voting is always tough because sometimes it's not even about one was worse than the other, but you have to make a choice. Some are very clean and some are excitingly chaotic. Great creativity from all of you!
It turns out there is an option to choose your own pumpkin, so let me give credit to my wife for the idea of making the teapot and cups.
