Metals are controlled by TPTB. There is even a esoteric belief that gold can store souls, and that silver can nullify magic, so TPTB let it stay in their big vaults, and manipulate the price using derivatives. They crashed gold and silver with futures markets, and after that, implemented ETFs.

They are going to do the same with bitcoin. Craig Wright is dumping for the bankers. Look at the low volume, its all orchestrated.
