just tell me who's responsible Angry

I suspect many longs got liquidated and stop loss orders got triggered. There were 7 red candles on the 15 minute chart before the massive dump.

What sort of longs get liquidated from a price that was so close to ATH? That must be some ridculously crazy leveraging

Trailing stop loss makes some sense though.

I guess Bitmex doesn't count. Never mind. I'm just thinking $500 is a big move when at these prices it is less than 10%. Still not getting used to these prices.

People reacting to Tether getting hacked:

https://tether.to/tether-critical-announcement/

Not really a big deal. Tether is centralized so the stolen funds are good as dead.

Also tether reiterated that all Tethers are fully backed by reserves which makes me believe they are soon to release compelling evidence proving so.

So in conclusion the stolen tethers are a non issue and we have a statement that Tether is legit.

How do you claim all the fork coins if you don't expose your private keys?
First move all your coins to a new address so the old private key is no longer needed for BTC. This is a safety measure.

Then use the old private key to 'sweep' the coins into a Wallet. Coinomi on android is good for this task - can confirm for both Bitcoin gold and Bitcore.

So..We are on the same page then? What you wrote above doesn't contradict what I wrote. Sweeping to Coinomi also exposes your private key, and only sweeping empty wallets/addresses goes without saying.

Besides, if you have Coinomi you can sweep Bitcore just like you can BTC and BTG. Thats what I did. You get 50% of what's in there.

Yep, same page.

Dumped all my bitcore today. I'm happy to get the market price whenever I get my act together to sell them.

I don't get why people feel the need to hold on and try to time the market to sell these airdrops  - the last thing I need to be doing is tracking the price of a thousand shitcoins every day. Yes the shitcoin could go up for a moonshot - but so could bitcoin. Nobody knows.

I didn't want to wait though after Trezor let me claim my coins. However, I did not just dump it. I set my banks at .0375 when it was at .034. Then I watched TV for 10 minutes and it was filled. Good thing that I can still mine it, but it appears the hashrate has increased significantly since a couple hours ago.

I sold my BTX for some peanuts one day because I was bored.

I got bored with it too, months ago.

My "fail" here is even worse than that. It seems (I didn't remember the exact figures until I checked the other day) that I only claimed one single address containing 1.6BTC, and then posponed or decided it wasn't worth the hassle (signing from each individual address) to do more as it was worth very little then. And now it is too late to claim the rest of that first airdrop.

I have just remembered why I didn't keep claiming... I downloaded the wallet, it didn't even run on my linux, couldn't find the sources to compile it myself... decided it was a piece of shit worth nothing and that it would soon vanish and never looked back. Yup, that was it.

Bgold isn't even on Poloniex or Bithumb yet. My plan is to wait until I hear myself say something like "wtf! for a free shit coin?!" Then I'm out. Cool

12 hours ago approx., Trezor finally released a tool for claiming your BTG. Lot of people dumped the stuff. Few hours later, bittrex creates the markets for BTG, and a sudden pump for that coin begins.

Don't know wtf happened, but one thing is clear: never sell your giftcoins just when trezor releases their claiming tool,  lol. Almost same happened with BCH.

Mental note. The lazy shall inherit the earth.
