Segwit is NOT activated.

It is locked in, meaning it will activate. In three months.

A bit like when the US president is elected. He must still wait months before actually entering the White House.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
So does anyone notice any difference in the transaction or confirmation speeds now when the segwit is finally activated?

My bitcoins came through the other side so shiny.

I noticed also that segwit shit does not stink.. It is really amazing stuff - we may need a marketing team for it.

I know the perfect marketters:  Roger, Jihan and Craig... Let's get them marketing this.   Cheesy Cheesy

Somewhat related - the unconfirmed transactions have dropped from 60K~ a day or two ago, to 38K~

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

What we don't know is if they are spamming more or less. Anyway, when a good percentage of tx's were segwit they will need to dedicate more resources to keep spamming.

Atm the percentage of segwit tx's is still negligible.

The effect won't be inmediate but gradual depending on how many users (including exchanges which account for a vast number of tx's) go sending segwit tx's instead of "classic" ones. Maybe something like 25% adoption for the first couple of weeks? Donno.

Also, until LN is in place you will still need to wait for regular block confirmations.

Segwit is enabled but we will also need the Lightning network

It's not automatic pal.

Quote
The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 420 satoshis/byte, shown in green at the top.
For the median transaction size of 226 bytes, this results in a fee of 94,920 satoshis.

Still no difference

Just my opinion, it is completely up to the network to decide what is valid, and if I was to have my say it would be made invalid.

Because you seem to do your thinking from your adrenal gland, rather than from your cerebral cortex.

Shit like that should be fucking rejected.

Should be a network rule that if there are sufficient transactions to fill a block, that if you don't >90% fill it then your block is invalid.

Have Xapo and Coinbase and such released their BCH's to users yet? I'm sure there will be a pump before that happens. And a monumental dump when they do.

Gemini and Stamp have not released the BCH on their service, either....

For nearly 2 weeks, Uphold has release the BCH (so it shows up in member accounts), but you cannot do anything with the BCH, yet.

That's a lot of stuck fun bucks.

You need to come up with a better slogan - something-like "Bucks Critically Heldup"

Your "stuck fun bucks" makes no little to no sense in the whole scheme of things. Tongue Tongue

Stuck fuck bucks then.

So, you all got your BCC, no problem whatsoever ? ?

Sorry, man. Got mine. Moved a big chunk from coinbase to kraken, because I read the fine print.

What were poloniex's claims leading up to the fork?

Edit:FWIW, I do feel for ya.

It´s the staff of poloniex, they can´t keep the finger off of it !
