Yes! This is the SegWit pump to $5000 - $7000. Luckily I bought the dip.

I'm beginning to wonder if the masses will every start buying, or if Bitcoin will only remain a niche investment. What would it take to see something like a line of people out the door in front machines like that one? Perhaps one day hyperinflation will kick in, or a total fiat collapse. Maybe then that will wake them up.

The vast majority of people either have never heard of Bitcoin or are barely aware of its existence. Most of those who know about it don't really understand it.

Ignorance breeds fear and apprehension. It certainly doesn't lead to people putting in their hard-earned money.  This is why public adoption is so low and why we're still basically in the early adopter phase.

As public awareness and education grows. so will adoption. The s-curve of adoption is still a long way from going vertical. When that happens, we'll see the 6-digit prices many speculate about.

I've been involved with bitcoin for many years and don't understand it.....

I have a newfound respect for the Winkles and their ability to not say a bunch of stupid shit.

in what context? they just invested in filecoin with Barry etc. which to me counts as doing stupid shit, if not saying.

Shitcoin Minimalist
I don 't think the quarreling and chaos in the bitcoin sphere is very helpful for mass adoption.

It's a little painful right now, but it will be positive over the long term. The war of ideas must be fought now so that we have a stronger bitcoin going forward.

Terminated.
The masses aren't even aware of Bitcoin, let alone the scaling debate.
There is no scaling debate, there is only an centralization attack on Bitcoin.

So, who sold at the bottom? Cheesy Some lovely buy walls are occasionally appearing on Bitstamp.

Same as it ever was. The scaling debate should have been settled 18 months agoTM

Is the community going to want to recognize BCH as the "one and only?"

Time shall tell...

Some muddle-headed millionaire forked off an alt. What's all the excitement about? I don't get you sometimes. Huh

Decided to short XMR while I'm waiting. That chart looks like it was painted be a mental patient. Wish me luck!

Well, I was going to do exactly that and then I noticed the beautiful C&H it is forming...Good luck mate but I think it is going to break its ATH.

If it starts to bounce I'll pull it. I'm not proud.

Bithumb XMR trading opens Friday. I would close any shorts by then.

Good call.

Pulled it. Tongue

With ripple and minero getting pumped in the last few days it looks like that's where a lot of the BCH money went.
