I wonder when Lightning will finally be implemented. It'll probably be the last piece of the puzzle and that could make price rise a little bit. As of now it's just SW, which is nice as it is, but Lightning will be the real kicker. Not the end-all, but it helps futureproof Bitcoin and is a temporary scaling solution that's at the very least better than what we have now.

Thanks. Read in an article that it's being called the 'Chinese Ethereum'. So naturally my first thought was, "Well then what's the point of ETH then if it's not going to be universally accepted?" The article also highlighted that NEO had some improved technologies and updates like sharding and concurrency that even ETH doesn't have yet. Kinda like an Ethereum 2.0.

Not that I'm interested. I'm wondering if it's even open source.... or in readable English...

I don't think so, but I don't know for sure. We PMd some, but I never met him. He had a brother that went to college in Midwest USA, not too far from me. I know he spent some time there, perhaps visiting. My sister sells grass-fed lamb meat at a farmer's market, he was interested in that, but did not make it. But, a 500.000€ property nowadays is a 1.25-2 mill € property of some years ago when we were at the peak of the real state bubble. So the amount requirement is a bit too high currently as it is probably too much for a secondary residence (I think it doesn't need to be your "home", it can be an investment in several properties for renting or whatever that sum 500K).

Oh, there are some additional requirements such as not having criminal records and all that burocracy stuff.

I personally know some (rich) Venezuelan families which took advantage of the offer... plus registering companies here that employ themselves so that they can also access to public health system and all that shit.

Jesus ... it costs a few hundred bucks to get a retirement visa, then a few tens of dollars a year to renew it. These packages do very little more for you unless you really want a work visa(?), lotsa spa appointments, maybe an annual health check etc. Lot of money for bugger all IMO.

Don't forget the economy in SE Asia is booming right now, especially Vietnam. Construction everywhere while citizens are gaining wealth and the new generations are becoming very educated. It's kinda refreshing to be around.
