i read now the last replies regarding the fees and how long you wait etc etc...
i maybe live in another world because the maximum i wait when deposit to exchange or send back etc is never more than 1 hour about....
and i never have problem to pay some small amount...
the question is .. where do we go from now regarding the price??

With the current fee fiasco I suspect we are going down.

Sry guys But I never had any problem sending BTC.
It always confirmed within time, it doesnt matter if I sended 1 btc or 10.
Just dont use stupid cam exchanges and btc is the best payment system ever created.

Haters just dont understand the magic.
DONT USE EXCHANGES ANYMORE, ITS OUTDATED.

That was just a secret message for some newbs that still dont understand btc.

Withe the current fee fiasco I suspect we are going down.

Current? The "fee fiasco" is many months old. Meanwhile the price of Bitcoin keeps rising.

I see no reason for it to stop now.

I never had problems in the past until the last two days.  Fees have shut up through the roof!
It looks like my wallet generates transactions at an average of 600 bytes x 0.0000022 btc/byte (https://bitcoinfees.21.co/) = 0.0013 btc * 1580 = $2 per transaction  wtf??
A small transaction of 0.25 BTC used 230 bytes x 0.0000022 x 1580 = $0.79   Shocked

We first need to hit parity with the 400oz gold bars Cool

I'd be happy with parity with kilograms of gold.   Cool

Never enough huh?  Cool
We had the one dollar parity, the euro parity, the gbp parity, the silver price per gram parity, per oz, the same for gold but we crave for more.

LOL I thought I was being conservative. I was happy with a mere $40k per coin.

AlexGR was looking for almost half a million bucks per coin. I guess he's one of those people who thinks 21 coins will make you rich some day.

I figure you'll need a couple of hundred.  Grin

You see, at the end, Bitcoin buy all values ... and stop at 21 000 000 BTC.

And it's good.
I like "finished values" for a monetary system.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see the battle for $1600 rages on... currently $1607USD (Bitcoinaverage).

It's in day 5 now. Consolidation's fine and all but I think we've already made the point that we're not in a bubble.

Enough's enough. It's time to move on up again.

Fees don't rise.
They are variable ... you MUST survey the mempool to emit at low fees, it's all.

Real fees are calculate from :
- number of transactions in your emitter address
- age of your previous transactions in the emitter address
- mempool staturation

https://www.statoshi.info/dashboard/db/memory-pool
https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin

Interesting but neither link provides any idea of what sort of fees I should aiming.  I have adjusted my wallet to pay 0.0002 per KB and nothing..  In a few hours I will try 0.0003..

ya know what would help here? more block space. Cheesy

seriously though - .0003 is about 46 cents at stamp prices. that's kinda insane, as a per kilobyte fee. makes me a bit sick.

I fix broken miners. And make holes in teeth :-)
There's no "real" fee.  Miners don't actually need fees yet - their revenues would be extremely high with the block reward anyway.  Fees and rising prices are what's causing a spiralling and pointlessly high amount of miners.

Fees should only be necessary for miners to treat your transaction as priority, not for them to accept your transaction at all.  That can change when the block reward decreases enough relative to the price, but right now fees are just a market.
Miners do need fees because of spam transactions. When fees were zero too many twinks were sending out spam transactions on the net that blew out mempool and hogged all the space. Thus miners don't take zero fee transactions these days and the transactions there rot on the chain. There should be a garbage collector running on those but there isn't.

So when a dirt-ton of people want to do transactions, the highest fee wins. As for too many miners I agree but that will drop as the rewards get cut unless the price continues to be batty.

Pay the real fees ?
Fees are VARIABLE.
Use a true wallet, one that it calculates the real fees ... when you emit.
