This is kinda OT, but it's too good to miss.
It's a comment in the reddit thread about Charlie's recent tweet on block size etc. A great summary of how we got here from there:

Im really thinking of getting more exposure in alts. We might see sub 1 k :/

Hmm...this is how shills are born. Sell low, buy alts high, then try to recover your losses by trying to get everyone else to buy your alt with the hopes of breaking even and selling.

Probalities. We saw several big alts hitting 100-1000% gains while btc is/was falling.
If btc goes further south chances are good that people will jump into alts for a while.
This is a very strange occurrence if you ask me.
Both these two (ETH/DASH) going up at the very same time and one is half the amount of the other's worth (40mbtc/80mbtc) right now is very weird and should be looked into further to find out why them while the BTC price  is falling suddenly. Usually it's the other way around with BTC increases so do the alt prices.
Where is Litecoin in all of this? Usually it's LTC price increase with the BTC's.
Confused by this happening. Undecided

Yup. Just had to talk my coworker out of buying into the ETH/Dash bubble. He had a serious case of FOMO. Sure, the price may be much higher before it bursts. But you have to be retarded not to see that this growth is not sustainable...
My thoughts exactly. But there has to be a reason for this maddness of the HUGEEEE pump up in their prices within the last 72-96 hours since I noticed them increases 3.4-6.7% every 6-8 hours.

I think they may be a little late to the party by now, but I'm sure that pump money will be welcomed by the people slinking away.

altho it MIGHT SEEM like "the right trade"... "the right trade" is almost always the thing that is hardest to do, ie Buying BTC as its crashing or shorting alts that are targeting the moon.

“With growth momentum nearing its peak and rates increasing further with a hawkish Fed, the asymmetry for equities is turning increasingly negative. This also means more vulnerability to potential shocks, e.g., from European politics, US policy, commodities and China. The increase in risk appetite in recent months and strong positioning by systematic investors such as CTAs and risk parity funds increases ‘vol of vol’ risk, i.e., the potential for a sharp correction.”

Can you tell me if chinese are now allowed to withdraw BTC from their exchange platforms? If no, when they begin withdrawals?

I think there hasn't been set a specific date so far.
But the chinese can withdraw in Yuan, what they are doing, and then buy BTC back via localbitcoins.

So they on their exchanges they already can sell BTC and withdraw Yuan. But they can not buy BTC. To buy BTC they go to foreign exchanges. Am I right?

They can trade Bitcoin on the exchanges right now. This means that buying and selling BTC on those platforms is possible.
Furthermore they can withdraw in Yuan, as long as they are a chinese citizens.
What they can't do at the moment is withdraw in BTC. So to put BTC in their own wallets for instance, to get them off the exchanges, they exchange into Yuan, then withdraw and buy back BTC on their local marketplaces via localbitcoins or MyCelium.
That's the actual procedure as far as I know.
