Chinese aren't dumb. They didn't put all their coins in one basket being their exchanges.
They diversified and placed more on other exchanges and sites like localbitcoins and paxful for constant trading.
What do you think the largest population of mined coins had in mind as a contingency plan if all went tits up on their own China exchanges. Do you think they trust their government with their moneys or bitcoins security? You must be dreaming.

it could also be a long-term move up because the Dollar will be inflated by the FED as will other fiat currencies since the governments will likely choose inflation over decreasing nominal spending.

It won't be so bad even if the ETF is rejected, 1000 will be the lowest we'll likely go and even then we'll recover as people buy up cheap coins. HODL life induces nervousness but you just have to remember to keep HODLing

Just don't think too much about it, drink a cup of coffee and do something else and let the news roll in by itself.
