I think the divide goes pretty deep. I won't be surprised if many users/investors jump ship.

Someone gets it.

This is why the whole argument is irrelevant anyway. We were at no where near close enough adoption to start forking for 8mb blocks for christ sake.

Gavin killed the honey badger.

RIP anyone who bought after Nov 2013

If Mike Hearn will be the lead bitcoin developer I'll sell all my bitcoins. I don't need another government lead currency in my portfolio.

Why do we need a single leader?  What's wrong with having several teams each in charge of their own competing implementation?  E.g., Core, XT, BTCd, etc.  Decentralized development seems like the equilibrium configuration to me.

Not too surprising the price is down a fair distance with China's stock market in freefall. Cash maybe king for a bit. Extremely glad I dumped my stocks last week.

Orderbooks paper thin in both directions. The finex action last week reeks of manipulation. Bitcoin needs US regulated exchanges with serious orderbook volume to prevent such crazy volatility.

Careful bulls!

Bears back to caves. I bought on localbitcoins in the UK near the (hopefully) bottom.

this morring the news was this http://blog.blockchain.com/2015/08/24/industry-endorses-bigger-blocks-and-bip101/

and the price crashed

the more XT is pushed the more the price will fall?

this kinda feels like the SR crash... something first viewed as a negative will actually pave the way to greater adoption

Completely different to SR crash which was a flash crash.

Told y'all in the $280's.

This shit is doomed with no end in sight. Prepare for sub $100, not even trolling.

we all know that xt will never prevail.  so why people dumping their bitcoins at these low prices?

Good question.  It can't be the realization that Peter Todd and Luke Jr are leading bitcoin developers.  Neither Blockstream' brilliant plan of increasing adoption by limiting the capacity of the network.  Perhaps it is a growing fear that Ethereum, rather than Bitcoin, will become the world's reserve currency?

Now really,  did you drank some water from the Olympics Park?
