It feels like we’re at a bit of a dangerous point in the market here. We’ve bounced off the resistance level and appear to have seen lower lows in the short term. I think we’re still in a bull market, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a pull back here before we blast 30K. I wouldn’t be short the market here, but it is starting to look like choosing your entry points might be helpful.

Should have called themselves JP Morgan Chase and the FBI would have left them mostly alone.

I think we sometimes forget why Bitcoin exists; all fiat (central) banks are scamming cunts. The more governments interfere, the bigger the problems become.

I used to keep my merits for non-legendaries.

Now only rarely do I find a merit worthy post by non-legends; let alone beginners. What has happened to the WO? Do I sound like a fading boomer if I suspect only the "old guard" is keeping this place interesting?

You must be sitting on a ton of merit  Grin

How would you possibly know?  Wink Tongue Tongue

Maybe this means you have to lower your standards and merit posts that you wouldn't merit a year ago Wink
Treat it like an investment into those newbies.

That's what I think I'm doing. But investing requires seeing some value in your investment - or some merit, in this context - which brings me back to my musings.

Banking stocks continue to drop.

Credit Suisse down nearly 25% to a record low. Kiss

Just when you think they are on the floor,  there is another sub-basement they can fall down into.

Credit Suisse crashes to record low as it warns of 'material weaknesses' in its financial reporting
https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-11860583/Credit-Suisse-crashes-record-low-warns-material-weaknesses.html

"It revealed the firm had identified 'certain material weaknesses in our internal control over financial reporting' for 2022 and 2021."

That's one way of saying you are broke I guess.
 Roll Eyes

How big are they?

In 2021, Credit Suisse had assets under management (AuM) of over CHF 1.6 trillion. On February 9, 2023, the bank reported an annual loss of CHF 7.3 bn, the biggest loss since the 2008 global financial crisis.
Another bank collapse will send Bitcoin over 30k$ imho

It took me way too long to realize why you removed your avatar hat.   I am so dense sometimes.
I'm on vacation and on a tiny notebook but I did my best.  Hope this one fits you better!

Wow man…awesome ! Thank you very much…I would have given you more merits but I only had 7! This is actually my first hat…I never had one before. Enjoy your vacation.
Cheers

Tough luck, Brits: Binance suspends UK deposits and withdrawals

https://www.theregister.com/2023/03/15/binance_deposits_withdrawals_uk/

It only affects deposits/withdrawals in pounds using a service called Paysafe. Binance must be arranging to start using a different service as they claim pound withdrawals will restart on May 22.

all customers will be unable to deposit or withdraw their crypto in pounds from May 22.

Paysafe and Binance both noted that other forms of deposits for UK customers are – and will remain – available.

I've never had an account on Binance >> totally unaffected by all this.
I had one encounter with Chinese exchanges back when they were faking volume in 2014 and had enough for life.

Treat it like an investment into those newbies. We want them here because statistically the longer they're here the more they learn. The more they know the better they post. The better they post the more merit they get. The more merit they get the more they give.
