I feel a little bearish actually. Care to elaborate on why you went long at this time? I'm genuinely interested in your take on the market.
To be honest I also did short just then:

(I came from long at $233 before this trade).

@theshmadz
I notice that nobody says that the next X minutes/hours are critical.

Guess the last critical moments were in 400-300s huh?  Grin

Last critical moment for me was trying to get my bids filled at below 250 CAD.

Everything since then is just smooth sailing.

(Btw, everyone who enjoys music should go check out BitTunes. Most exciting project involving bitcoin that I've seen thus far.)

Let's say the price is 250, and the choices are 150 up or 150 down. He pays 250 for the bitcoin. Bitcoin goes to 100. He gets a $100 bitcoin from you, and keeps a $100 bitcoin, for a $50 loss. If it hits $400, he loses his $250 that he paid.

Makes absolutely no sense to make the bet using your method, since he loses either way.

Now let's say he doesn't buy the bitcoin. Bitcoin goes to $100, he makes $100 from you. Bitcoin goes to $400, he loses $400 to you. In this case, at least there is the chance for profit, but he is laying you 4:1 odds on what you're trying to represent as an even-money bet.

It's only 240.00 either way and even offered to just be just theoretical. He seemed so confidence before.

No, it's really not $240 either way, and you are literally quoting the explanation as to why.

These kinds of bets if they're made in bitcoin need to be paid in a certain cash equivalent, or just straight up done in cash.

Nice try, pig Roll Eyes  We're too smart for that Cool
Guys, don't answer him, he's trying to entrapment us, not that we even know what he's talking about, right?

LOL

So creative. Look at the socks fly today Grin

I'm not so sure about him being a cop now tho.  I've been to meetups, and that IS pretty much what they talk about.
That, bath salts, and BTCeanies being the new world reserve currency--Bitcoin in a nutshell.

Leveraged longs are going full retard on finex  Angry think it's a full cycle, shorts going up they turn more bulish and leverage more, shorts see longs going up and short more ...

What makes you think being long is a poor choice? With a couple of big crashes in the background, who is left to sell?

Less selling = less supply to stop rallies = rallies gain steam = bull market
Less buying = less demand to stop crashes = crashes gain steam = bear market

When 10k coin market sells doesn't do much to the price, it's time to rethink being a bear.

Not that it's a bad choice per se, just like to see lower leveraged longs in total. Plus they usually put close stop losses so any minor move is greatly amplified by leverage and i prefer to see that to shorts
