Why so negative? What is "so tiresome?" Life? Are you depressed?
Fair enough, I suppose. In terms of price, it is what it is, and there are ways to attempt to consider it in ways that do not necessarily put a vague and superficial negative spin.. yet of course, people can do what they like.
Surely, the longer that any of us has been to bitcoin, then the more likely that we would have a price cushion, but of course, if the BTC price is looking like it is at historically low levels, even if a longer term bitcoiner is in profits, s/he may well not feel that s/he has as many options.. because selling at these prices does not seem to be a very smart idea.. so then it is likely that the options would be either to buy more or to HODL.. and of course, just perhaps delay gratification or to satisfy any expenses from other cashflow sources, if such other cashflow sources are available.
Even though someone who has been in bitcoin for less than 2-3 years, might be feeling stresses of either not being in profits or even being in the negative, I still may well consider those matters as BIG so whats.. and if there might have been some frontloading of investments at higher prices with expectations that BTC prices would go up or even go sideways and would not get as low as they have gotten, then there may well be a bit of a lack of financial and/or psychological preparation in order to ride through these kinds of negative price periods. by either buying more or just being able to HODL through it if such person has run out of money to continue to buy bitcoin at these prices, even if it might be as low as $10 per week.
Of course, you have been registered on the forum around the same amount of time as me, so we could well be in a similar boat in terms of opportunities to manage our bitcoin holdings, yet in my case, I likely felt that I had accumulated enough BTC within my first 3-4 years in bitcoin.. so in my case I continue to want to suggest that I have around an average of a $1k cost basis.. but of course, I understand that even similarly situated persons, might have not come to bitcoin with an already established investment portfolio, so in my case I was able to feel pretty comfortable to be able to mostly end up establishing about a 13.5% allocation.. which was around 3.5% higher than the higher end of the range of investment into bitcoin that I was recommending , which was 1% to 10% for newbies... as a kind of less informed (quasi-blind perhaps) strategy.
I don't feel that I need to explain myself, and I am not bitter - but I am skeptical of any member who is posting in such a way that seems to be luring people (or members) off the forum.... and not really stating how the outside location relates to the forum, to bitcoin or to this thread. .. but whatever, I am not into those other groups that might have "money making" or even possibly pumping and dumping "fundamentals".. so you can accomplish outside of the forum, no? . so of course, you may well have differences of opinion and a belief that a "less harsh" word choice would have been more appropriate. .. and wouldn't luring people to other threads, be more acceptable than promoting outside of the forum? At least for starters?
Are you expecting that I need to investigate further before I use such a word that has accusatory sentiments? Do you have some links that would lead me to easy to digest materials that might convince me that I should have used a different word? Is whatever you are promoting related to bitcoin? not that I am inviting you to describe or to pump some shitcoin or related project here.. but I would not find as much of a justification to use the word "scam" if once in a while you were posting a link to some other forum thread (this forum).. but I am not going to guarantee that I might not call it a scam if I were to look at such link and to come to such assessment that scam potential might be a reasonable assertion for me to make.
Also, it is possible that if whatever you are promoting is related to bitcoin, then I might become receptive to changing my word-choice.. but for now, based on whatever information that I have, I only see that you are seeming to want to denigrate this place, suggest that bitcoin is boring, and to lure members to some other supposedly better (and purportedly more exciting) place.. which I doubt that either such a place exists or that even if such a place were to exist that you should be engaging in luring tactics within this thread.. unless just posting a link to some other forum thread from time to time, perhaps.. even that, I might still start to consider to be a scam too, depending on what the substantive materials behind the linked thread. .. but at least I will likely superficially look at it if is on the forum.. and you provide a link.
Need I 'splain my lil selfie more? Did I miss something? Are you somehow innocent? I don't claim to be any kind of expert regarding all the ways that people/members are scammed or even an expert on the threshold in which something might seem like a scam but it is not... but at this point, I don't feel that I made any kind of significant mistake in my choice to have had used the word "scam" based on my above non-explanation explanation.
