Guys, be careful of going into btc-e through Google. There is phishing site advertised with Adwords that leads to lbtc-e-com. It looks same, only prices are bit outdated, if it wasn't to prices I would probably be done there.

Did anyone notice the new largest Bitcoin balance at a single address? https://blockchain.info/address/1AZVcgGjb64XYzmAXwQyWCmvsZriQoiJw

It changed a few days ago an came (with a  few hops) from https://blockchain.info/address/1EFJUipfCHFmmTFkF9vvjFKdBf3VbfvarM?offset=0&filter=0

The 183,000 figure that transferred into the second address was the Bitstamp audit I presume.

Yes. There was a public announcement from Bitstamp that they were auditing and they published their cold wallet address.

Nevertheless, BTCChina is still keeping above 4000 CNY.
Price at all exchanges, big or small, moves together due to arbitrage trading.

BTC-China stopped using Alipay and bank transfers, and switched to a voucher system, after the December "five agencies" decree; while Huobi kept accepting deposits into the CEO's personal account, switching later to a corporate account.  This was well reported at the time, and the sudden loss of >90% of  volume at BTC-China, while Huobi's volume increased, was attributed to that.  It is not my speculation.

If China does not define the price, then why is it that events relevant to the Chinese market but irreleveant to the "West" (like the December decree, the March Caixin leak, and subsequent deadlines and closures), have dramatic effect on price; while events that are relevant to the "West" but irrlevant to the Chinese have no visible effect at all?

If there are no panic news it should go up. May take a week or 2 but we'll reach $700. Watching bitcoin makes me think of a growing plant, it has its problems, sometimes stops for a while, but eventually gets there... or dies.

Whatever the direction this takes, it's going to be brutal

I personally don't think is will take a direction for a few days. Can easily see this consolidating until next week. Although we have been getting weekend pumps recently.

Stamp! haha! stamp doesn't want to go up   Grin

Calm before the shitstorm.

The weekend will probably be crazy movement and $700.

There was some talk about a person who's creating those walls so he (or she) can buy up all the offers below his and profit that way.
doesn't matter who creates them, if you're a bitcoin adopter and not a speculator its the best thing it can happen as we are getting price stability over an extended period of time, its wonderful news for us who want this technology for its properties not for speculation. Go walls go go!

No thanks, I want my BTC being able to buy a lot more.

Its called a SQUEEEZE ...when the MACD travel within the kneltner channels ...indicate that there will be a break up or break down ..

The longer it goes on the more energy is being built up ..think a steam engine .....

I think we all know which way it is going to go ...is a very bullish sign ..i.e the calm b4 the storm

So many pplz go ...so quiet is something wrong ..sorry it something right Wink

The train is at the stop. You can either board in on the CCMF train or go home.

With a clear TRIPLE TOP it seems to me that the price for tickets onto this "Train" may be a bit on the expensive side !!!!

you are new hear and seem to left your glasses & home

the ebay news is 10k per btc alone ...grow up noob & listen to your elders or go invest in darkcion sucker biatch Wink

YipYip I am assuming that your last comment was directed at me  ?

Facebook have approved their first cryptocurrency tipping apps -

http://www.coindesk.com/facebook-approves-first-cryptocurrency-tipping-apps/

Quote
Lead developer Alejandro Caballero took to reddit to announce that the social networking giant had approved both his Doge Tipping App, which is restricted to dogecoin, and his Multicoin Tipping App, which got the official nod just this morning.

The latter allows 14 altcoins to be used to reward posts on Facebook in a very real sense, rather than merely giving them the standard ‘like’. The full list reads: dogecoin, digibytes, einsteinium, fedoracoin, mintcoin, reddcoin, quark, worldcoin, vertcoin, karmacoin, earthcoin, trollcoin, HTMLcoin and donationcoin.

Just need a Bitcoin tipbot now Roll Eyes

Very strange that coins like HTML coin would be included. Although in fairness there is a solution called quick coin or something similar.

But, hey, if you don't believe in China, that is fine.  I am just looking at the charts for fun, or the academic version thereof.  I hope that China pulls out from bitcoin soon, so that we have one less thing to disagree about.  Wink

Jorge, Did you read Ladislav Kristoufek's paper yet?
