Is anyone else noticing that we are like sitting right snug below the bear triangle line? we go up $2 and we are on top of the line... breakout imminent if we just go sideways like we have been doing... is it finally time?

Depending which chart you use, we are over the trend from March 13th.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
You really would have to have a monumental lack of patience to dump 500 coins at once into this market. At least do 250, let the bids fill in again and then do the other 250.

what if you're trying to sell several thousand coins and have been doing so in ~500 coins chunks over the past several days?

you would still be better off going slower than 500 coin lots. And yes I agree that is exactly what someone is doing, either a miner or someone who owns a lot of coins from somewhere else - although one hopes that Stamp might have refused one particular exchange operator an account.

I agree that it would be clever to spread out the sell chunks... but it seems to be nearly pure speculation to suggest that the sales are coming from one coin holder.  We do NOT really know such.. so we are speculating.... even though there could be several sellers.. who just are attempting to get in their sale intermediately before someone else gets in... and yes, on low volume these various sales bursts seem to show up (but they are still occurring on high volume, too).

Why should volatlity decrease?

because maybe it's the FED itself who is manipulating the price in a flat narrow band?
Alternatively, it must be someone else. Any guess on who/why?

When there's more money trading/holding and the price rises, it takes an increasing amount of money to move the price up or down.

I'm optimistic about impact of the Fed's new report.

They must have asked a bitcoin believer to write that section

Ah, I get it. Not even a report from the Federal Advisory Council and Board of Governors of the US Fed counts to you as a good source. The Fed puts on record conclusions that people in the know like you consider premature and influenced by amateurs.

EDIT: wording.

Sine secretum non libertas
... not resolved is the concentration of mining ... Will bitcoin mining continue to be a free market?

No.  Another coin will replace bitcoin for some applications, which coin preserves decentrality.  It will offer enhanced privacy features as well.  It will take at least a year, more likely two or three, for a clear successor to differentiate itself from its competitors and establish a network adequate to the task.  Centralization is not generally a concern for speculators, nor indeed for most currency applications; for other use-cases where it is an issue, bitcoin will move aside and another cryptocurrency will take its place.

You think bitcoin will crash then?

Only as it always does, as part of the hype cycle, only to rise another order of magnitude on the next cycle.    I suspect BTC will still be gaining value long after I've moved into a privacy-enhanced successor coin.

I am curious about the statement

the use of Bitcoin to transmit funds out of Cyprus  post bailout
I wonder how that worked out exactly?  How would someone with euros in a Cyprus bank use bitcoin to move the money to a bank outside Cyprus?

Simple, all you had to do was find someone in Cyprus with bitcoins who was willing to swap them for Cypriot bank credit. Euro IOUs were still exchangeable between Cypriot banks during the capital controls period.

lol its a good report but your quote is a bit misleading.

edit: i just noticed 15 mins passed from the time he posted to when i posted. more than enough time to read the link. where are the days where you have to post 4 or 5 times cuz others beat you to it? wtf?

Well, I think a lot of the trolls and uber-bears moved to their own forum, thus reducing the amount of negative / bearish / trolling posts thrown up after a reasonable comment...

You also missed an apostrophe in your earlier post. Most unlike you; perhaps you are tired today.

Nonsense, Bitcoin is the future, nothing can and nothing will replace its unique value.
