No it doesn't actually.
It might sound tongue in cheek, but I believe there are plenty of people - not necessarily rpietila - who would be considered ripe for a mental institution but who have particularly keen insight in certain respects. It seems quite obvious to me that these things can often go hand in hand: a person has an unusually large part of their concentration focussed on one thing, leaving less of their mind or personality for the rest.

I fail to see what that has to do with "Bitcoin price movement tracking and discussion"
But seeing as it's been brought up, it seems to me like a relatively large proportion of posters in here might benefit from this. Perhaps entire wards dedicated to those with a trolling disposition.
If we cut all the offtopic posts this thread would be reduced to 1000 pages at most.
Probably trains,bears,rockets,bull pics make 25% of it.

Well, you already know the answer. But this answer doesn't matter. That kind of thing can happen to the best of us and it's happening every day. Most of the people are mentally ill, but they will never know it. If you go to a hospital to cure yourself, that's a brave step and actually does mean that you are mentally more healthy than most others because you do something against your problems.
And anyway, these kinds of discussions are so pointless... They don't have to be public.

Personally, i don't blame him per se.. it always seems to be everyone else taking shots at him and he rightly defending himself.
Sees to be a game for some people on here.. what they're trying to achieve though is anyone's guess. Cause him to lose face perhaps? It seems childish.
