Yesterday I remarked that the net sum of the BFX, BTC-e, and Bitstamp walls was bearish.  Bitcoin fell 4-5%.

Currently Bitstamp - bullish
BFX - neutral - maybe a tiny bit bearish
BTC-e - bullish in the short-range, bearish in the longer range

Overall slightly bullish. Probably trend reversal incoming, but it won't necessarily last that long (eg. bounce to 510-520).

Note: I'm a total amateur.  Really I'd like to hear what other people think about the walls. They're aren't entirely fake =)

that's funny, Chinese love manipulation..... it is about time that PBOC release a new statement to clear all the FUD and explain once again and clearly their position about Bitcoin and give a strict guidance to prevent manipulation...

Wait what?? lol
Wasn't 3rd party deposits banned??

See my previous posts, this apparently was the cause of the short-lived bump at 04-17 05:12 UTC.

I belive that these "TOP-UP" cards are not the same thing as "3rd party payment processors depositing directly into Huobi's  bank account".  There seens to be a "4th party" involved, a card-issuing company.  The card company receives the money from Huobi clients via bank wire transfers or the 3rd party payment company, "recharges" the clients' cards, and then the cards can be used somehow to deposit money into the clients' internal Huobi accounts .  Thay is what I fantasized understood from Google Translate's output.

I wonder if the PBoC will be happy with that solution, but I would guess that they did not ask the PBoC beforehand...

This is just manipulation with price, you can check at http://bitcoinity.org/markets,
Huobi and Bitstamp, for 5 days purchased over 500k bitcoins,
It is so funny, 500k bitcoins for 4 days, and after that for next 4 days purchased less of 10k bitcoins.

It is BIG manipulation with prices, Just check and compare volume and time, it not real.

This is nonsense. Total volume is about 520kBTC for 9th thru 13th, and 650kBTC for 14th thru 17th from Bitstamp and Huobi.

So you failed miserably at FUDDing. 4 day volume of rising prices > 5 day volume of decreasing value.

And of course, this is only volume. Your made up buy metric is total BS, since no one could possibly find that without watching every single trade unfold... and even then, it wouldnt really be anything but the net of market buys - market sells.

Actually, from the comments on that thread and the LBC forums, it looks like there is some kind of issue.

But the talk of single digits is what I would expect of Fonzie... I wonder if someones account has been compromised? Roll Eyes Grin

I thought you predicated that Bitcoin will be worth almost nothing in June? I guess the prices "are not real" in your mind? Or are we still on track for a big crash?

There is a high probability that China will crank up the printing presses. Poor(er) Chinese will either use Bitcoin as a hedge on inflation, use more traditional precious metals, or they will be too broke to hedge at all. Chinese capital in invested in all the wrong places. This was the inevitable consequence of their neo-mercantilist foreign trade policy, as it was for Japan and every other country that tried it.

You make that sound like a bad thing.  In fact it was an amazingly good thing. It worked really well, and accomplished what it was intended to accomplish.  Now that game is over and it's time for the next game.  Whether they can manage the transition or not is unproven.  Whether they can play the next game as well as they played the previous game is unproven.  But they definitely won the last round.
