So, staying totally off topic now, i spent some hours testing my equipment and the DIY repaired telescope, cuz i finally had clear, moonless sky last night.
Focusing is a nightmare (very coarse) but on the other hand, slightly blurry results do have their own beauty to them. There's also some focus shifting, making images a little sharper at the top corners, while blurring out the lower regions little more. The focusing tube is definitely off-axis. Some more $ to be spent on this asap.
Here's a stack of 30 minutes of the great Orion Nebula (Messier45 42 afair).

EDIT: This will be one of next winter's highlights, when the scope will be repaired, the sky will be dark and the air will be freezing cold.

you have an identification error that is a pole that exhausted its self trying to tame a wild untamed and untrimmed bush. Its just resting and trying to recover to its full length to have another go at the untamed and untrimmed bush.
In fact it is in such a stupor it does not realize it needs to lie on the floor in order to strech back to full length. This often happens to younger poles rods trees that try to tame and trim bushes via brute force.
