things you own end up owning you
I wish if I had more FIAT in stamp now.... I would be really happy, I waited for this day for 3 weeks now and I used all the $45K I had there

Mine was invested during the last hours at midprice $448. So the 2-month long quest is over. Gained about BTC400, though my loss of BTC250 in Mt.Gox should be debited from this amount.

Bitcoin, you may now rise! Smiley

I will go to my castle and occasionally post if there is something important.

my total average is $455 now, I was thinking about investing more money, but I was having second thoughts as I sent yesterday a letter to quit my job and start working on various bitcoin projects professionally, so I had to make sure to keep some FIAT reserve in my Bank account for "you never know" case....

But I am pleased in general, I am sorry for the past misunderstanding and congrats for your castle, enjoy.... hope to be hearing from you more often...

Not if you think that there's a tiny chance MtGox and its associated assets could be bought, restructured and rebranded into a functional, profitable exchange by a forward-thinking capitalist. A longshot for sure.

Why would anyone do this? The Gox brand is worth 0.00 after the last few weeks. If you want to build an exchange from scratch I would do it without having a massive (de facto unrecoverable) liability of about 3.5 % of all bitcoins ever to exist (if the numbers of 744K BTC lost are correct).
On the contrary. It's worth much much more after the buyout. Every Gox user is happy and thankful, under new management timely deposists and withdrawals may be possible and they would have the image of the sole hero in a time of crisis.

I dont doubt it, the moronic hodl cult would hold if dropped to a quarter. And still say 'if you havent sold, you havent lost any wealth' lol

bitcoinbuilder is such a fail.

people who wired some fiat to mtgox and were betting against mtgox insolvency...

well, you might have a gambling problem.

fulltilt was bought out in the same shape as gox......

funny you say that, because i have been comparing the situation at Gox to that of Ultimate Bet.   I said jokingly that Poker Stars should buy Gox...they have plenty of funds to do so..

It was an investment opportunity and *possibly* failed. I have no regrets. Shame BB doesn't get my 2% from there. Does he? He's not going to take it from my existing BTC right? Sad

I believe congratulations are in order for getting the money to pay for your castle out of MTGox.

I was able to increase my BTC by 20-30%, but more importantly I cleared a few levels of Candy Crush!  Cool

This is what I have been saying that I was hoping for.   Another company to come in and buy out Gox, get the users their funds back and turn it around...

Here's something some of people may have missed...the LTC/BTC ratio was pretty strong during that massive sell off, you could have converted some LTC back to BTC... I was gonna do it, but BTC-E has been taking too long to confirm the deposits lately...
