Last panel was more interesting. Overstock and the other guys are so boring. I want to hear more about drugs and criminal activites rather that lame business reports. Cheesy

they managed to get the private keys or they "hacked" the private keys ?

Anyone who can hack into a computer where your keys are stored or processed can get your keys.

If your keys go through a computer whose software you can't disassemble or change, the company who provides the software can get your keys.

A while ago someone discovered that most cellphones had a routine instaled by the factory at a very low level, "for maintenance and debugging purposes", that recorded all your button and keystrokes and send them to the manufacturer on demand.

Even if you use an open source OS and software, you can't check the code of every program you download to see whether it contains a trojan.

Control all the miners!

That seems to be their concern due to "systemic risk"   but really they do not seem to have grasped it yet... control the miners, what all of them, everywhere?
even if the answer is "no here in the US" then the answer would be "great I am off to (insert name of country with less or zero mining regulation here)

They are looking at the situaiton and thinking, hang on a minute... we and our chums on wall street are the only ones allowed to create money "out of thin air"

The fact that they have hearings, discussions, regulation talks and whatever more means that Bitcoin is important.

So whatever is said, let it be right or wrong, everyday Bitcoin is getting stronger.

For early adopters (and I believe that if you buy your BTC today you are still an early adopter) the trend is UP, whatever all the noise along the way.

BUY and HODL !!!   Cheers !

Question: "So yesterday people mentioned bringing exchanges to the US, to both create jobs and improve the economy of the US and New York state. And with balanced regulation that would also allow us better control over dollar to Bitcoin oversight and weed out bad exchanges, reducing the ways for bad actors to acquire Bitcoins?"

Answer: *crickets*

What a bunch of morons. They're just going to end up pushing all the Bitcoin exchanges out of the country permanently. Good luck regulating them then!
