Well, curiously enough the Gox ask amount has gone down about 3000 coins since Willy started last buying spree, so someone is buying those coins, or do you suggest that coins are being removed? Btw, eToro traders have in the order of 5 billion$ on their trading accounts,

Yup...I came to Bitcoin cos I want a long term investment with meaningful returns.

I am a potential investor (as opposed to trader which I am currently doing), but I simply cannot throw my hard earned fiat at Bitcoin at these prices, in these market conditions, and with these charts.

I shall avoid the temptation to post the classic bubble-new paradigm-final capitulation graphic, but it is so true and I have seen it in so many other asset price graphs, not least of all in precious metals in which I invested and made fantastic initial gains, but because I held and held and held, I am now underwater on across the board. Thank god I did at least get in early enough that I never got completely slaughtered by the turn in the market.

People may argue 'but Bitcoin is different!'

Bullshit, it is just the exact same thing getting played in hyper fast forward mode and even looking to Bitcoin's own history, in the two previous crash scenarios , it took months for events to finally play out with considerably lower prices found after a period relatively stable downtrending.

Yet here we are, with prices basically 80% of the ATH, and everyone thinks everything is all done and dusted and it's all trending followed by inevitable upside from here?

If I could really bring myself to think that, then I would be going all in, long, right now, because that is my ultimate goal......but I aint paying three, or four, or five, or god knows how multiple times more for my Bitcoins than I have to.

No, no. For sure! There is no manipulation...

It´s not that hard to see that this bot is obviously buying his own coins, where do you think the 12-18 BTC asks do come from. Do you think someone else is putting always nearly the same amount in Gox orderbook.
There are almost no other trades happenin besides this one. And of course some usual 300 and 500 BTC buys are shared between the 0.01 and the Willy trades.

Btw, i wonder if "willy" might be Etoros bot? They seem to get their coins from mtGox somehow. They have a buy execution every 6 hours, but I havent managed to spot any special buying activity at these times (0:00, 6:00, 12:00, 18:00 GMT). There must be quite a few coins going there?

Put your tinfoil hat off. Gox is rock solid, there is no manipulation in Bitcoin land. It´s the only trustworthy instrument to trade out there, everything else is fake ( doge not btw).
Hodl and get rich.

Its the gox bot (willy?) thats responsible. He eats all the coins at a rate of about 2000/day.

OK - Gox is 140 up on Huobi / Stamp /BTC-e.

The other three are within a dollar or so of each other and largely not budging much.

Everybody just wants more action. But all we get is more consolidation and range trading. This could go on for a while. The longer is does, the more bullish it becomes. Good news just keeps coming in. Eventually that good news is going to mean more fiat into the markets. And that means up.

trends are defined by higher highs and higher lows. we are not talking about $50 moves here, major resistance was broken at $1100. as an elliot wave analyst I am not 100% conivinced this means the uptrend has resumed, because I am no fool, but is is a significant edge, something worth acting on.
much more significant than any kind wave wave pattern is the sentiment that goes with it. If people are bearish and the price is rising, it will likely continue. shorts will be squeezed, and Ive heard of too many fools shorting bitcoin heavily now.
