Does this rally not look tired to anyone here?

We are just slowing down in this altitude. There is no real upward momentum.

Wednesday is almost over and we have retraced most of the highs. But what happens now? We just shoot up into the stratosphere?

I still have my doubts. Becoming a more modest bull at the moment.

Emotionally, I am feeling quite similar to you.  But just looking at the technicals, it's doing a pretty standard thing I believe.  Of course past patterns don't have to be repeated in the future, but often after a correction, we would go up slowly again, plateau for a while at the previous ATH (for like the next day, maybe 2), and then shoot up rapidly.

It's natural to get nervous/paranoid when the price goes up so quickly, even if you're confident in the underlying asset/currency.  Realize what is rational though given context, news, localized risk, momentum, etc.

Oh, and change in perception (media angles, finance world, public comments....).

It's quite common to see some pullback when you hit a potential double top.

Yeah, agreed. The ATH is a serious resistance level and there's going to be a dip before we take a run at it.

I'd say we hit the ATH in anywhere from 2-5 hours.

My tea leaves say we're still on schedule to break through in 1-4 hours.  Smiley

Re Greenspan. Does anybody here still believe that they know how to regulate the money supply to optimize the output of the economy?

This is the wrong place to ask that question if you want a serious discussion.

I'd actually suggest "yes, it is possible to beneficially regulate the money supply" but that needs to be qualified with "so is predicting the markets".

You're about to become a victim of the sentiment cycle. Strong hands become weak hands and sell to the next round of strong hands.

Lol. I'm not selling. Just observing.

I'd actually suggest "yes, it is possible to beneficially regulate the money supply" but that needs to be qualified with "it's also possible to predict the markets and make billions of dollars".

I don't think we've had a billionaire Fed chairman.

You're about to become a victim of the sentiment cycle. Strong hands become weak hands and sell to the next round of strong hands. So it goes.

You can't see all the people getting their first bitcoins. If you could you'd be more bullish.

I don't care what Greenspan actually thinks about bitcoin, but the fact that he has even the vaguest idea what it is, means we are winning!

Ron Paul should buy Bitcoins.

The result can only be funny. I would enjoy a shouting match between him and greenspan more but I will settle for that. Smiley

Blitz:The price affects the perception of the news
I have to say that I share most of windjc's worries.  I too am holding.  And I have fiat ready to trade.

I suppose that I'm a little depressed that all of the furor over breaking 1k and the hurrahs over outpacing the price of gold diminished so quickly.  Perhaps those items were already priced in.

A sidewise market, that usually drifts lower, keeps my finger off of the trigger.  Someone pump me up, please.

Note to self:  The next time you get these feelings. . . just buy!  Whadda f'n maroon.

The twitter reactions almost make me smell the blood on the street after the selloff though. I don't think it will be for another two weeks but still.

Because some 120 yr old said something about technology?

"I think these cell phone things are a bubble."

Edit: "I guess."
