So whats next?   Huh  I'm all BTC again, I got my bull hat on and I'm looking at a ~$150 spread and no action.  What time is liftoff?

After coming public with my fiat millions, I have been interviewed in radio and tomorrow is one magazine etc. I hope that others will soon join me as the spokespeople Smiley If the reporter raises the bubble issue, I just quote sirius:

"When bitcoin had less than 10 users, I sold BTC5,000 for $5."

Now it is a million times more valuable. So is userbase a million times larger.

It is simple math that a further 1000-folding of userbase will raise the price approximately 1000 times higher from here.

If you believe bitcoin's growth will stall and go negative or the technology crashes, then it is a bubble. Otherwise it can hardly be a bubble.

Anybody caught this BBC article yet?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-25130261

Yep, just read it. Surprised? No. I've read many like it. Old school establish ecconomists dismissing bitcoin as just another tulip story.. or just another blah blah..
Yeah.. spare me please.

The comments section is even worse. Everytime i read comments on a bitcoin story on the web.. you see the same ill-informed opinion, and the same questions raised again and again.
Though it is hardly surprising that these are questions raised by people who have not done any research into it.

What is it backed by?? Cryptography and maths.

How do we know there will only be 21 Million ever?? Cryptography and maths.

Yes agreed.  The concern is the general public (read potential future bitcoiners) are put off by the negative aspect of articles like this.  Unfortunately not everybody understands cryptography or maths.... but however this is a short term problem that will be overcome as bitcoin becomes more user friendly, just like the early internet.

I read the first couple of comments then dismissed them after reading somebody trying to say that 'they' (whoever 'they' are) can increase the 21M limit at will.

So are we at the phrase " they laugh at you" not or still in "they ignore you "

I hope to move on to "they fight you"

Bitcoin is physical
It's full-on mainstream now. People in facebook keep whining on: "why didn't I mine two years ago..; I should have bought" etc.

The same IT folks who were ignorant, suddenly are asking to sell some BTC (and yes, there's this fetish of whole bitcoin). And what worries me, is that they all are asking about cash out charges. Not that much interest in the technology itself. They see it as a bubble, and just want some quick buck in a month or so. Sadly this could be a self fulfilling prophecy, lead by masses.

LOOOOL, surf the forums, you are just saying the same thing some stupid things that were repeated over and over when we hit $22 at the end of January 2013.

It will at least double again before crashing. And it might very well implode for good at some point, but not before 5 figures.

Mark my words.

I have no option here but to concede the fact that ignorance towards you has cost me at least 10btc. I'm buying in now and will sit tight for the rest of the ride.

Always nice to hear when bears turn to bulls. Congrats! Cheesy

I think he finally found out that we won't go to 50 before we can go up.
Some people are just a bit slow.
But good to see he's ok now.

Shroomsy. We indeed WENT to $50 before we resumed the uptrend. But OK, after it went to $50 and it stabilized at aprox. $135 I said it had to go down again to $50 (or lower) before it went up again...

It's obvious it never went down again to $50 from that point ($135) - but indeed went down to $67. So yes, I was not able to "predict" the precise bottom - but the price indeed lost 50% of its value before the trendline was resumed. That was my general point, and additionaly I wrote that kind of behavior was absolutely normal and in fact, healthy. On the contrary, you wrote many times that the price going down was "hurting the coin". You will remember that we mocked up you quite a lot for repeating continuosly "it hurts the coin".

At the end the price went down, the coin was not hurt at all and its skyrocketing again - so why so bitter my friend?

Humans are a strange sort.

Barely buying all the way up to $1000. Then plowing through a 2500 wall in minutes once they are there. WTF?

obv 4 the lulz Wink

Part of it was for the lulz sure, but another part was arbitrage with BTC China:

- China had gotten ahead because ppl there were betting that the stamp wall would fall resulting in a rally.
- Erect supporting bid walls everywhere
- Buy at a fixed price from the wall and feed china 7% higher.
- When the wall fell, china got its final spurt, which was duly capped with a market order.
- If net position was still +coins, the rest were dumped in stamp, capping that rally also.

Another day in bitcoinland. Now things are quiet again  Grin

No I wasn't that delusional. My new funds didn't clear until about $550 and I've been holding out for the correction to $200 which never came. That's all, nothing fancy Tongue
