Man who stares at charts (and stars, too...)
That's all I can say these days. Need to go into hibernation for the next 6 months I think.

Don't forget to put some laddered buys down, at some "fire sale" prices, before you sleep for a bit.

I'm starting to feel a bit better since I've been leaving some capital tied up in orders at specific target prices; if I hit those targets and acquire more corn, super! If I never hit those targets, because Bitcoin moon-shots at worse, I just claw back my fiat and cancel the orders.

I should really do something silly like leave a standing order for 21M BTC @ $0.01 just for some weird way of feeling alive...

Going to need to sue the builder on the ranch project. Rick and I have been having an awful week dealing with a certified letter we got from our engineering firm on some malfeasance by a subcontractor. This is going to get super ugly at this point. Lawyer is having a field-day because this is a sue for damages type deal where he gets a big payday if we have to take them to court, and inevitably win, based on the evidence we have.

Have visual proof of a subcontractor stealing an SD card out of one of our trail cams, on an area that was being worked on.

FML, brothers.

I just wanted to retire to a life of ranching, and it's nothing but stress and aggravation so far. Don't even want to buy a horse. Loving our John Deere Gator.

On a bright note, things have come along far enough that we should have cattle return back to the pasture within the next week.

There's a saying in around here parts:

Quote from: some wiseass

You should build the first house (ranch) for your enemy
You should build the second house (ranch) for a friend
You should build the third house (ranch) for yourself

i think CZ has something to tell us all about microstrategy CEO that he that laugh last laugh best, the more they keep buying despite the dip in bitcoin price, what Michael Saylor is seeing is the potentials in the nearest future over it's ever continued investment buys on bitcoin, why i never doubted about microstrategy actions is because their investment is channeled on bitcoin avoiding altcoins.

The company now holds 129,699 bitcoins (BTC) acquired for $3.98 billion, or an average cost of $30,664 each. At press time, bitcoin is fluctuating at $20,100, making MSTR’s stash worth approximately $2.6 billion https://coingape.com/people-mocking-saylor-regret-end-binance-ceo/?utm_source=thecryptoapp

WO members & the most Hyped Question

Is it is the bottom, ?
I can see a Poll as well maximum voting was the Yes it is the bottom.

Currently the poll shows that the majority who follow this thread think the bottom is in. Not a strong majority, but 56% none the less.

WO is always more bullish than the rest of the bitcointalk users, or at least compared to others in the speculation board:

Clearly WO has nearly 3x more votes but only 20% thinking $17.5K is the bottom is a considerable difference, as many think price will go below $10K. Most think price will go to $14K.

That is the case by the way WO members are still not on an appropriate position,

Positive
Negative
Neutral

All are meseed up so thats a confusing era i have sceen ups and down which made me believe that anything can happen but look at the way ahead to it just imagine the Destination you won't regret your Journey.

Today Bitcoin price $31.5k. Shocked. My guess is that Bitcoin will go back to the previous position. The current market situation is fairly good.

Plagiarising merit whores are breeding now... wonderful.

There are many who abuse merit. Blue King has abused his merit a lot.

The merit system was supposed to be natural:  You see a post that looks to you like a substantive contribution to community discussion.  You hit the merit button.  Accounts that make good posts rise in rank.  Nice theory!

It rapidly devolved so that you need to hire a private investigator to do a background check on an unrecognized account before sending it merit.  Well, I exaggerate—but not by much.  That’s sad, but it is inevitable.

The bounties subforums are, in essence, dedicated spam support sections for spamming other websites.  (Though I doubt those social media sites much mind; some of them are corrupt as hell.)  They are a magnet for abuse.  Add the general problem of paid signatures, and you have a recipe for problems that cannot be fixed with any kind of rank or merit system.

You, Jay, contribute hours of your own time and effort to writing substantive posts that help people.  You don’t even wear a paid signature to get some compensation for your time, as would be damn well justified in your case.  Don’t feel bad that you sent some merits to Blue King.  You were acting in good faith.

The problem would be solved by deleting the bounties subforums, and banning paid signatures.  That will not happen here, so it is anyway otiose to worry about the few merits you inadvertently sent to a spammer.  Don’t batslap yourself.

Some high-merit WO regulars (not Jay) habitually send large amounts of knee-jerk applause merit to groupthink preaching-to-the-choir posts saying things that hatters want to hear.  That should change, it’s not going to change, and I will not waste my time quibbling over it.
death_wish got most of the merit WO thread. I think [marcus_of_augustus] has abused merit. Because in a simple post of death_wish, marcus_of_augustus gives him 50 merits.

A Bitcoiner chooses. A slave obeys.
Looks like Mexico has officially proposed the bill to senate for making Bitcoin legal tender.

Mexico's population is over 20x and their GDP over 43x the size of El Salvador. I would say now is the perfect time to buy, what do you think?

I predicted this. Thats right. I made it happen.

How many are like me, in that aspect?

There is your absolute worst-case Bitcoin bottom:  Organic demand.

As I have said before, this is why I urged for years that slower growth was desirable.  It makes the market more stable—more robust.  It also makes the absolute worst-case bottom higher:  The notional price that will be reached if every speculative investor mindrusts out.

Useless coins have no bottom.  They can go to zero or negligible value, because nobody wants them for any purpose other than to sell for a higher price to the greater fool.

Because Bitcoin is Bitcoin, i.e. a scarce thing used as standard money, it is like gold.  Is Schiff worried about the bagholders for gold? Roll Eyes

My prospective: I live in country where PayPal and other popular financial services don't work. So Bitcoin is a kind of relief if I have to receive a payment from a client living in USA or other country. So far if helped me alot since I m getting full amount without any deduction and that too instantly.

I do agree that slow growth is desirable but there are many factors associated with Bitcoin and biggest is government opposition to it world-wide.  So far majority of big powers are not willing to accept it for obvious reason aka Bitcoin will break monolpies of governments backed banks and give authority back in the hands of original owners.

These are just my few satoshis.

the morning wall report

dyor

the previous bear market lasted approximately 1 year and saw a -84.12% retrace...projecting that forward would see the current downtrend start to resolve in 4-6 months

the long dagger fall showing capitulation and the beginnings of a bottom formation are presenting...i am not convinced the pain is over completely yet however...even with the -74.50% correction in play

on the brighter side...the lower support/resistance levels on the schiff fork have hedl up well

as always...waiting for confirmation of a trend change is prudent

steady as she goes gentlemen
