Newsflash:  INFLATION IS HIGH.*  Surprise!  Reaction:  SELL THE DEFLATIONARY CURRENCY, TO BUY THE INFLATIONARY CURRENCY!

Makes sense.  To the average “Bitcoin investor” nowadays.

This is the least problem with letting people think of Bitcoin as sort of like a stock.

* Assuredly much higher than the heavily manipulated CPI numbers show.  What kind of an idiot believes the CPI numbers?  The kind who reacts to high dollar inflation by spending more money (BTC) to buy dollars.

Sorry, @jack, but not sorry:  I use Nitter to read your tweets, instead of the awful web2 app for that disastrously centralized bird-silo you created.

Speaking as someone up to his eyeballs in web3, seeing some good concepts but also tons of bad code and corruption:  Interesting.  I like the shot he took at the VCs.

The non-googledocs informative site is here:

ENOTIME to look yet.  Prediction:  Either it will suck, and I will be inspired to create webn, or it will be great, and I will regret wasting time on Internet forums instead of working on stuff like this.

It's funny how the US is at the top of this list. It's because they have a big ego problem.

Euro zone has 8.1%
China has 2.1%
And many more countries...

Imagine actually giving a picture of reality  Wink

The loving green Dutch government has decided (in accordance to following EU emission regulation) enough with farming in The Netherlands. It is simply too polluting regardless of the fact that the food and milk generated has fed millions over the hundreds of years and was there before a single green policy and any form of Unity within Europe was ever thought of.

Enough is enough with this disgusting practice of localised farming, we'd rather pay Billy HingPing Swing in the outskirts of Shanghai to do your job!

"Fuck you farmers, and no, we don't thank you, just close shop, we'd rather import all this stuff and make it look like we are as clean as Elon Musk's bare ass."

Sounds reasonable I guess. Especially since the conservative party was voted in again as the biggest party. The voters get exactly what they want with the green policies shoved down their throats.

Inflation is just not high enough!

Yup we're a postage stamp sized country trying to single-handedly solve the climate crisis  Roll Eyes

That nitrogen argrument is a lie. What they really want is to build more houses at the cost of fertile farmland because we have a serious housing problem over here.

Netherlands is not only 2e biggest exporter of agriculture in the world but it is also the biggest exporter of meat in the EU. (Impressive feat of efficiency for such a small country.) While the goverment does not touch agriculture farmers, i don't have problems reducing the size of life-stock but not with 70%, it will literally change the countryside landscape into concrete.

There are to many people living here, it's getting to croweded in my opinion.

The country will turn into a gigantic city.

 It works out to ~US$54/lb for this meat "substitute".   I'll stick to pork rinds for my preferred (cheap) source of carry-around crunchy protein - it can also be locally farmed and fed pretty much anything!

This means that Bitcoin will rocket off to $100k before I can even [...]

proudhon, wtf?  I think you messed up your magic by trying to psych the market last month.

Ahem, let me try:  “Within 24 hours, BTC will return to its natural price of $1.  Confirmed by maths and science.”

Considering the high CPI print, so far #Bitcoin  is holding up better than expected.

Let's see how the weekend goes.

@Chowcollection
#Bitcoin  FUD was devastating at the beginning, but after hearing the same thing 100 times from people that don’t actually have a better alternative that will serve the entire world you just get used to it.

@CarlBMenger
It is a crime to counterfeit a $20 note, but it is not a crime to deliberately devalue billions of dollars. What a brave new world we live in. #Bitcoin  fixes this.

@neiljacobs
Next they are going to tell us to eat 10% less to deal with rising food prices. Opt out of the madness. Buy bitcoin.

In this type of environment "what" happened on Jan 6th last year in the USA is completely understandable in my opinion.

Hopefully the Dutch farmers will resist this complete and utter moronic nonsense.

Couldn't they just tax farmers each time a cow farts or burps? That's what New Zealand's planning.

https://www.bbc.com/news/business-61741352

Quote
New Zealand has unveiled a plan to tax sheep and cattle burps in a bid to tackle one of the country's biggest sources of greenhouse gases.

It would make it the first nation to charge farmers for the methane emissions from the animals they keep.

Quote
The plan also includes incentives for farmers who reduce emissions through feed additives

Either that, or they could just add seaweed to their cows diet to stop them farting or burping. That's what Australia's considering.

https://www.bbc.com/newsround/49368462

Quote
A study in 2014 by Australia's national science agency, CSIRO, found that by adding the pink seaweed 'Asparagopsis' to a cow's food they could reduce the amount of methane gas produced when cow's burp and fart by a whopping 99%!

Indeed.

Seems Bitcoin didn't like those CPI numbers. Or is it that the trad markets didn't like it and there are still a few hold outs left from this latest Bitcoin bull run that think Bitcoin is just another asset.

I have noticed over the last few weeks though that there is definitely some decoupling going on. This makes me think that 90% of the weak minded, weak handed fools have already vanished. If we do get further dumping from this point the last 10% will be gone I'm sure. Which will then lead to complete decoupling and the start of our next bull run.

*LFC_Bitcoin patiently waits for weak handed cucks to panic sell their precious bitcoin at stupidly low prices*
