So ... the protected need protection from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to take the protection that doesn't protect the protected?
This from the people who used to call me stupid?
Yes, because the unprotected are filling up the hospital beds and people that need other procedures are being delayed. Not to mention the fact that no vaccine is 100% effective. Get the population to 90% vaccinated and this nightmare goes away.
But what shall we do with the 10% left not vaccinated? Even 1% is dangerous. They will be clear and present danger for the vaccinated. Yellow stars and concentration camps?... So, get your ass prepared for booster jabs every 6 months for the rest of your life!
Infectologists (and I tend to trust the pros not some random conspiracy theorists) claim this is the last big wave we're facing now. In spring next year the virus will most likely: 1. disappear or 2. transform into some sort of a seasonal flu or 3. will be present in some regions not globally so stop being a pandemic.
But before that happens Delta will get most of you unvaccinated friends and death toll will be huge (4.55 million right now prolly not enough to make you change your mind and start treating it seriously.
You simplify matters and this is where I think there is danger in just blindly injecting this stuff into youngsters without evidence this will not harm them in the slightest long term.
A huge death toll would be in the vaccinated people as it already is in many western countries.
This table below (UK numbers again) supports your theory that vaccines work to prevent death in lower age groups, however it clearly shows that the largest groups of people dying are in the high age groups (as it always has been with Covid) even whilst they are vaccinated. On the basis of that table you would have to conclude the vaccine is only 50% effective at preventing death. It is not a magical cure.
Since death is so very unlikely in young age groups I still doubt the need for the vaccines. Certainly those under 20.
Note that this table does not show underlying conditions, which has been a major factor in deaths with Covid.
I'm fully for vaccinating those over 50 or 60 and those with underlying conditions or those who have a BMI over 30. But outside of these categories there just doesn't seem to be the evidence that any possible risk from a vaccine that was developed quickly is less important to consider than just taking a chance with Covid and most likely just letting your immune system deal with it naturally as it has done successfully for AT LEAST 98.3% of the population of the world so far.
Another caveat in the figures is the way we register deaths in the UK from Covid; 28 days within testing positive or it's mentioned on the death certificate. I would say that allows for quite a large margin to inflate the figures. You can easily test positive but die from something else within a month, certainly in the elderly.
Now you may retaliate with again suggesting herd immunity. Again this is only theory.
Just blindly injecting this stuff into the entire population just to prove that theory regardless of possible long term health side effects in youngsters seems a bit mad to me.
Note that this booster talk is actually just people getting a third dose of the same thing WITHIN a year.
Again that seems a bit mad also.
Considering that the vast majority of the people who have to endure Covid restrictions (work vaccine passports, lockdowns, miss work, school, entertainment etc) are in fact those at least risk the whole governments' dealing with Covid can certainly be brought into question.
If you constantly just blindly follow what a government says and wants I am very surprised to see why you'd be in Bitcoin at all to be honest.
