Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
Please give a review here when you have seen the pilot.

Well I'll give an opinion but I don't think I can do a fair review as like I mentioned in the past the Foundation is literally the only thing Asimov wrote that I couldn't slog through. Maybe its because I was to young and I would get pulled in now but all I remember about it is it went into such long drawn out detail about the specifics of cataloging and fundamentally boring bureaucratic methods that It just couldn't keep my attention.

I'd think that you guys that actually have read the book would have more representative opinions on the subject than I would.

This is actually the reason I'm thrilled to see it as a show as now I can get the story line without having to wade through a 3 inch thick technical manual. Smiley

I am skeptical, There is no black woman in the books and they are not action packed "war in space" type stories.
I will download some episodes ( I assume it's a series) for free when they are available on TPB to see if it's anything worth paying money for.

Edit: My favourite books too, and the first "real" sciFi books I read.

Cool, can't wait. from the trailer at least it doesn't look like they killed it with an PC pushing agenda as is wont lately.

It doesn't matter if they're bought in Bitcoin, dollars, gold or potatoes. If a deflationary currency prevails, it simply isn't worth it to buy them.

Well at some point the price will stabilize and btc will be used as a reserve currency for international exchanges.  Its not really deflationary, only with decreasing inflation.  we are simply in the price discovery mode until bitcoin takes over i suppose

also thats a nice view
BTC is already being used as a reserve currency if it becomes stable that will be when people start using it for a currency because they can purchase and sell things without worrying that next week that game they sold for $20 is now worth $5 and they lose out in money. I think most people are using it as a reserve currency now. I do not know what you mean by price discovery mode but atm BTC is in a adoption process the quicker people adopt the quicker it will become stable. If you are a investor you prolly do not want to see it stabilize soon and want to profit more on the sudden drops and rises of BTC.

The stocks, that's the only thing you mention that's bought and sold.

It doesn't matter if they're bought in Bitcoin, dollars, gold or potatoes. If a deflationary currency prevails, it simply isn't worth it to buy them.

If they are valued in bitcoin you get the increase in stock value added to the increased value of bitcoin, you get more money in the end than if you just hold the bitcoin. But this only applies if the stocks are valued in bitcoin, not in fiat.

without intending to offend, you don't know what you are talking about ...

Why can't one have a normal conversation in the wall observer? A constructive dialog?

You usually can.

without intending to offend, you don't know what you are talking about ...
..... Why someone has to ruin it somehow?
.....

Thats just marcus being marcus.

...

You know what? Fine. I've stopped talking to malevolent speakers either way.

Yup, that's all you gotta do. I sometimes throw the occasional flame, if I'm in the mood.
Just don't let him get under your skin. He's harmless, just like anything on your  pc screen.
Also, you absolutely do know what you are talking about.

More and more often I find myself nodding when I read your posts.
An ELI5 about setting up a Lightning node could be useful.
Pointers?
Search up "Bitcoin node with lightening" on Youtube and you can follow along the video which is better than any text based post. If you want to read instead then https://www.coindesk.com/becoming-self-sovereign-how-to-set-up-a-bitcoin-node-lightning has all the information that you need.

*EDIT* Are zero fees dangerous for spam etc?  Exploitable?

It could be used as a way of attacking Bitcoin by congesting the network but it would only be a temporary attack as no one is going to send that much Bitcoin. How do I know this? You can attack Bitcoin the same way now by sending 0.0000001 transactions on the network with no fees and it would congest the network but no one does it because they cannot keep it up and it would only be a temporary attack. Lightening makes it easier to do with fees but it would not make much of a difference because of the congestion it causes does not achieve any thing.

Lightning thoughts.

I want to spearhead a movement for cypher-punk inspired idealist zealots begin to run lightning nodes that have low, or even ZERO FEES.

One way to make lightning not become what people all worry about (banks) would be for the people who want to see the system run as counter to the existing one to make that happen themselves.

In fact, I think people who complain about the risks of centralization and exploitation in lightning have something they can do that is far more powerful than complain.

And that is to be the change you want to see.  Run a damn node, and run it the way you think Bitcoin should work!

For those who care about the direction of bitcoin... there really are only three choices.

1.  Complain.
2.  Fork bitcoin.
3.  Join us.

Not for sirazimuth…. If you know what I mean?

Ah well, maybe I do now that I've taken a closer look ;-)

Another great short opportunity is upon us.

100k Pump soon, confirmed.

Hey guys, are there any crypto exchanges on the darkweb? Is there even a point to setting up a crypto exchange onion site?
Sure. Exit scams are much less problematic.

I am 100% certain that a LOT of professional traders who are newly into Bitcoin made an error because of this particular fake out.  I mean... I suppose I can be wrong about where we are headed and this is a dead cat?  But I doubt it.

This is an over-classic spot on formation at the end of a parabolic run to all time highs.  I guarantee that a LOT of money traded out of this.

I remember seeing Microstrategy announcing new buys over and over during the 3-4 month correction.  And I can remember pros commenting on them sending good money after bad, and pointing out the levels at which they would be under water.

This is not a post saying "HA HA!  Look at the dumb 'professionals!'".  They are good at what they do.  And notice I said "the ones new to bitcoin".  Because the ones that UNDERSTAND bitcoin a bit more were... well, doing what Saylor did.

One more bit of thought...  A lot of really smart professional money got out in the 60 to 45 range. So part of this rally will be them getting back in while they are still at a discount.  It's sort of an implied short squeeze. And for some it is probably as REAL short squeeze.  But others just have money on the sidelines like Raja...  They are going to be buying in more as the price starts to continue to head up, because more of them will be hedging under their sale price that they were wrong.

And Voila.  They were.

Feel free to dig this quote up and post it to embarrass me in 6 months:

We are now entering the next phase of the bullsplosion.  And I think it is highly likely to be the uber-face-melter.

But it won't get quoted.  Because it will be correct.  Smiley

Cards face up.  All in.

Love you folks.

(PS.  I think the real tell will be the volume over the next month or so...  If it stays low then all the above theories were wrong.  If we see it start to build from here???  CCMF)

It did get quoted. Which doesn't imply the quoter thinks you're wrong Wink
