Would you trust your bank with your bitcoin to earn interest?

What's a bank? That some kind of old-timey institution grandpa used?

I remember hearing about it as a kid around the camp fire when it was time for scary stories.

OT: Me observing the second GME short squeeze/ bubble thingy...

No squeeze IMO. Just some old style hype, with the new business plan, new CFO etc.

By the way, I gave up any dreams of an explosive short squeeze, but managed to sell enough so I'm now playing with house money. Not a lot of dough, but it does feel smug!

Mega-pump?

Edit: Came back again... Pump for ants. Still OK. Actually, the current price should make us all feel ecstatic, but we are far too desensitized to feel anything while we are under $100k. HoDLers...

I feel nothing below $100,000.

Join me! ... Lets pray to Alah for the price to go to $27K! Cheesy Cheesy

And you will feel lots of things.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

You should max your leverage on shorting to 27k Wink

I never play with that sh!t. Smiley ... Never play with leverage. That's a fools game. You better do 1 for 1 ... 1:1 is always better. You lose 50% that is always fine, you can work your way back to 100%. with a 1-2% per day, but getting out of debt on a negative balance, well... sheeeeeeeiiiiiit, you are better off selling drugs and working in some mobster cartel nonsense. Smiley  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

*edit(): I always try to make a teaching moment out of a nasty mean hateful coment. Shame on you! You should never suggest to anyone to play with leverage. Smiley

EDIT: Just registered me and wifey for SARS-CoV2 Antibody test (happening in about three weeks). Hopefully we can circumvent vaccination and restrictions this way.

Had a strange cough last year in february, lasted 3-4 weeks.

Thanks for this comment. Never thought of not needing to be vaccinated due to contracting COVID-19 in January. My work position is "sensitive" and there are strict policies regarding our health matters (can't disclose more, sorry). If having contracted COVID-19 makes vaccination pointless, then I won't do it (if I can avoid it). Will need to check it out.

An infection will make your t-cells much more responsive on virus presence, even if antibodies are low. This helps avoiding a serious condition when infected.
Vaccines are expected to have similar results. The spike protein of the virus is unlikely to change, so that is a common vulnerability of all mutations, once the immune system "knows" the virus. Antibodies are more specific to the variant (dna) which triggered the immune reaction.

EDIT: Once t-cell awareness is high, specific antibodies are produced way earlier by the body.

Peter Schiff
@PeterSchiff

My son @SpencerKSchiff went all in on #Bitcoin on the last drop below $50k. 100% of his portfolio is now in Bitcoin. He sold the last of his #silver stocks to raise the cash. If my own son is this brainwashed imagine how vulnerable most kids are. He's HODLing to infinity or bust.

Bitcoin is GOD
Some no coiners either do not want to get it, or they are purposefully being stubborn and failing/refusing to recognize a paradigm-shifting phenomenon that is resulting in wealth transfers away from those unwilling or refusing to take even a small BTC stake.. because they cannot get over the fact that "it is really not too late, yet"..   All they can see is:  "its gotta go down sometime" even when it ends up NOT going down, they still read into the situation as if it is going to go down sooner or later and ignoring that there is UPpity in that picture too..
This is cognitive dissonance at its finest, they have to reconcile two undeniable facts, one that bitcoin has been a great investment so far, and two that they are not invested in it, so how do they justify their lack of action? By arguing it is impossible for bitcoin to keep going up in value so they are still justified on their reluctance to buy even now, and you can be sure that even if bitcoin went to 300k, 500k or even higher and then it went down they will still consider themselves to be right as their prediction becomes true.

Long time ago I found out that most people are not really interested in finding the truth and what they want more than anything is to be right, so do not worry about those people, as Ed Seykota once said “Win or lose, everybody gets what they want out of the market. Some people seem to like to lose, so they win by losing money.” To this I will add those no coiners also get what they want out of the market, at some point they get to be right and say to you “I told you so. See. The price is going down” while you reap the economic benefits, so as you can see it is a win-win for everyone involved.  Grin

I believe (and suggest) Kraken.

Some here will say bad words about them, but, IMHO, Kraken is one of the most reputable and "ethical" exchanges out there, if the word "ethical" can ever apply to such type of business. I've never had any problems whatsoever with them, they even saved me from dumping some coins in the beginning of 2017, due to their servers stalling and not executing my order. Speaking of servers, they used to have (maybe still have) overloading issues, with their system slowing down to a halt, but other than that, they are fine, I trust them, I use them almost exclusively.

Not to mention 2FA yubikey support, as well as PGP support for the emails.
Kraken is the only exchange I know for PGP. Gemini and Binance also have yubikey support, but the later restricts the browser.

+105 EUR. LOL.
Poor bearz, selling out cheap. They're just not ready for what's coming.

Heavy turbulence to be expected.
Better hodl on to the dick or tits of the person next to you, cos this is going to be a bumpy ride. Cool

Thanks. I used coinbase-pro for reference. Kraken should make more sense in that regard.

ahem...these 1.5-2K vertical dips are kind of annoying.

COV2: Maybe, I had the same notion (having something in Jan-Feb), but the test was negative (although I have to data regarding the validity of the Ab test that I took).
In any case, it is not clear how long the Ab from prior would protect. Could be 3 mo, 6 mo or 12mo, it is currently unknown. I intend to re-boost by next fall or winter, if it would be available.
Once a year seems reasonable, similar to flu vac.
