Back on home soil after a week of grass touching.

Market looks strong & ready for another attempt at making new all-time highs.

Eyes on $72,000 -- once we're past that, I don't see the #Bitcoin  train stopping anytime soon.

You're never too old to think young.
Linux 100x better. Supporting privacy invading criminal organisations like Apple and Microsoft, no way in hell.

If you want to do computing right you only use an opensource OS (Linux being the best) and opensource software everywhere possible. As for playing games Linux is 99% at Windows levels these days.

Opensource hardware is more difficult. Best you can do is build your own desktop, and if you have to have a laptop, buy a Framework and install Linux.

If you absolutely must use a blackbox OS like Apple or Microsoft, be sure to disable automatic updates and apply any updates manually.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
Sounds like the Woke agenda is trying to rewrite history now.

I don't have the patience to set you straight.

Try looking onto why Japanese woman and children killed themselves when Marines took Okinawa and then understand what would have happened if they had to invade the mainland.

There are volumes of books written on this subject that I am not going to waste my time explaining.

The three-month battle for Okinawa took more than 200,000 lives -- 12,520 Americans, 94,136 Japanese soldiers, and 94,000 Okinawan civilians, about one-quarter of the prewar population.

Go ahead and believe some Netflix show if you want, or do the math yourself.

Official documents and witness statements of that time are not a "woke agenda", but some people will always find justification to kill other people - you obviously think it is normal to drop atomic bombs over cities with hundreds of thousands of inhabitants. I experienced it myself and today I watch how the Russians do it in Ukraine.

History is always written by the winners (there are exceptions), and who still dares to tell the US that they could have ended the war in a more humane way than the one they chose.

You have zero clue and i am not going to waste my time on this believe whatever bullshit you got shoveled.

'The right to privacy matters'
And as for the truth, I think anyone interested in history should watch the documentary series Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War, which reveals the gruesome details of how we got to the world we live in today. I knew some things, but for example I did not know that the American army had the intention of dropping the third atomic bomb on Japan, and the first one did the horrors in Hiroshima and brought Japan to its knees.

This is untrue, Japanese leadership did not Believe the Hiroshima bombing was one bomb and Nagasaki was to prove that it was and the threat was the next was to be dropped on Tokyo if they did not surrender. In reality Dropping those bombs saves lives.

There may be some other truths, but I am speaking based on the documents I saw in the documentary, and in one of them Henry Lewis Stimson (United States Secretary of War) sends a letter to Truman in which he says that Japan's capitulation is inevitable because they are in complete sea and air blockade and that a ground invasion will not be necessary.

However, the Manhattan project, on which over 600 000 people worked and which cost $2 billion at the time, and the possibility that the Russians would reach Japan sooner (they advanced through China) made what some call a crime against humanity, because dropping atomic bombs was not necessary for Japanese capitulation.

In addition, Nagasaki was chosen as a secondary target because there was a thick cloud above the primary one (I can't remember the name) - and as the center of the explosion they chose the part of the city where the Japanese Christians lived - they killed them all together with the bishop, priests and nuns, and of course demolished the cathedral - someone obviously really hated Christians in the headquarters of the US army.

When you say that lives were saved that way - what about the 200 000+ thousands of Japanese civilians, most of whom died the most horrible death that man can imagine?

Being instantly vaporized is not too horrible (?) Dying from the radiation ☢️ in slow motion six months later is pretty bad.

To argue USA was wrong to nuke cause it killed 200k people. Is to leave out that Japan was told we had a new weapon.

They said fuck you. We dropped 1 and said we can do it again they said fuck you we dropped the second and said we can do it again.
They surrendered.

So if you can prove that Japan was not warned about number 1 and not warned about number 2 I am all for it.

Unfortunately the emperor that was in charge is long dead so we will never know if he was warned by USA and fucked up or if USA did the bombings with zero warning.

Reminds me of the new found hatred ( last 20 years) of Chris Columbus who we will never know if he was the scumbag  people think he was.

Spain was scum to the new world Cortez was scum to the new world.

Facts. Not b.s. but how many know that Chris had a falling out with the queen of Spain and every journal he wrote about his trips were confiscated and re written by the Spanish royalty. Thus causing a 300 year fight of Columbus and his family against the courts of Spain which was setttled a few years before the movie 1492 . The suit favored The columbus family not spain.

The movie 1492 was partially funded by Spain and show Columbus as a scumbag.

While the facts are never going to be clear what he did or was. Because Spain destroyed his journals in 1492-1493.

Basically COLUMBUS will always be an unknown. While Cortez and Spain are know scumbags against the new world.

Back to Japan two nukes we will never know if the emperor was told before number 1 and number 2.

That puts the blame on the emperor bigly.

Or maybe USA sneak attacked then like they sneaked attacked Pearl Harbor.

Never selling

HAHA, nothing like making people pay you while you become the threat your supposed to protect companies from!

Organizations will never learn and continue to keep critical infrastructure on a black box (winblows).

I became a Mac convert 15 years ago after much scepticism from myself beforehand.
I don't get why people drop 1000s on a Windows machine (even here), probably for gaming in today's world.

I prefer a peaceful life with minimal fuss, a PS5 or Switch is more relaxing for gaming for the things I like.
A Mac Mini or Macbook Pro/Air seems much more viable I reckon for most IT things one needs to do at home whether it's personal or work related.

I remember the first time I installed McAfee on a Windows machine. It created a Bios virus instantly.
Utter and complete claptrap.

Every time I have had to work with a Windows machine for jobs since I've been a Mac convert it's always been a horrible frustrating experience.

My two cents.

linux is pretty good maybe better than mac

but I use mac a lot.

and i only use windows when i have no choice.
