If the Spanish Flu outbreak of 1918 has taught us anything, we're in for at least another full year of shit before things start getting better.

TBH, some things are best left to the imagination. I'll just leave it at that, for the sake of everyone keeping the contents of their stomach intact, and not spewing all over their keyboards.
I would look to Russian Flu instead of Spanish Flu, we know the 1918 pandemic was actually a flu, there's a lot of speculation that the 1889 pandemic was not actually a flu but OC43, one of the other 4 coronavirus colds.
However, it did last about 3 winters. Most recent common ancestor genetic analysis on OC43 suggests that it came from a Bovine coronvirus and it dates to approximately 1890.....
They never did get a sample of that one from the early 1890's - back then everything was the flu or 'La Grippe' as they called it in those days.
