We choose to go to the moon
Looks like she might be getting ready to test resistance at $16k again..

Third time's a charm.

How much would we need to break above $16k in order to be able to determine such breaking up to be a "success" - both in terms of quantity above $16k and time spent above $16k (does it need to be "permanent" break above?)?

I think we'll go just a little bit over $16k and stay there for a short time, before going back under $16k.

But then we won't stay in the $15xxx land for long either. Maybe a day, maybe less.

Then we'll go into $16k for good.

Bob, are you coins somewhere there?

Nothing on the board yet. Have coins loaded onto an exchange ready to do whatever, whenever.

Rick and I agreed that we'd both settle on a sell price together, and decided to reconvene at $16k USD/BTC for a sell decision, or let it ride some more.

Now, as I type, witnessing $15,946... She seems be getting ready to blow.   Undecided

@Elwar I have published a thread on the local Spanish board with information about your Satoshi Cruise project
If you want you can make a comment in the thread with more information, the users of the local board will be happy to read a few words directly from the person who has promoted this great business idea linked to Bitcoin
Any comments on when it will be operational, what will be the date of the opening party Wink

This erratic false-bull activity is going to hurt a lot of people who fail to exit now or enter into highly leveraged short positions. Use your science brains, people. Don't be fooled by fake news data.
You have very good tip for peoples but sadly greediness is working more freely then this and I am feeling we will have many victims in next few days by fake news data.

On a separate note: do you rember the conspirancy theory about Pfizer coming out with a vaccine news just three days after the election?

They are a complete nonsense.

Proof:

Pfizer's CEO cashed out 60% of his stock on the same day the company unveiled the results of its COVID-19 vaccine trial

Quote
  • Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla sold 62% of his stock in the company on the same day the drugmaker announced the results of its COVID-19 vaccine trial.
  • Bourla sold $5.6 million in stock on Monday as part of a predetermined trading plan adopted August 19.
  • His stock sale was carried out at $41.94 a share. The 52-week-high for Pfizer stock is $41.99, which means the CEO cashed out his shares at close to their highest price this year.

What?

The news of the vaccine DID come out three days after the election, on Monday 11/9. And for a company to delay that news and time it on the exact day of the CEO's pre-determined stock share sales from an August 19th filing is insider trading, and should be a punishable crime.

'The right to privacy matters'
I only went through ego death one time on LSD, which gave me some work to do about my personality and life as well, but in the end it turned out to be the very best that could happen to me.
So, people condemning drugs, because of "reasons", just don't know what they are missing.
It's all in the usage, like with guns. Nobody has to use em, but if only used for (ethical) goodness, nobody would be afraid of them either.

How would we know if our ego is too strong and/or needs to be put in check?

I suppose we only know after it has been put in check that it needed to have been put in check.  Perhaps?

Strong egos can sometimes be helpful, depending upon what is being attempted to achieved.. and surely, there can be strategic deployment of ego - depending upon if a guy/gal might be trying to sell something to another person or to persuade them of something - of course, in working relations these matters can be helpful, such as: "how to win friends and influence people."

I would argue everyone should be forced to crash and burn against their will just so that they know they can be snuffed out much like "a candle in the wind".
The quotes refer to Elton John's song.

A Lot of people simply  work with the delusion that their will is all that matters in the world.  The down side to doing this to everyone is at least 60% (a guess) all-ready know that they are fragile so you would be cruelly making them suffer the crush out of ego.

This is not to say that strong egos are bad.  I often think of the miners trapped in  a South American mine and the very strong willed miner that kept the group together.  Good movie. real story.

I think proudhon is a HoDLer. A big HoDLer. Bigger that the average WOer.

And he's laughing his freakin' pants off right now...

To be fair, i was thinking for quite a long time that R0ach was also kidding and secretly hodling cornbags.

I can't remember in exactly what thread, but R0ach was outed long ago as a bitcoin/shitcoin day trader on Bitfinex.

That's what made his constant barrage of bullshit against Bitcoin so infuriating.

My body is ready... Come on... Just a little bit more...

If you waited this long, then somewhere in the middle of $16,200 and $17,200 might be good and potentially reasonable - but what do I know?

We may well already be at a local top....

Why let greed get in the way of locking matters in, when we are already in a pretty decent place?**

**Note:  Bouncing between $15,703 (1 minute ago) and $15,898 (17 minutes ago) as I type this post.
