I received some Gox btc, but is a fraction of how I had calculated it years ago. Everything on gox was BTC, I calculated I should receive 20% of that (I did not) I know that Kracken support (probably) has nothing to do with this, so I wll not try there.
I have saved the 90 Gox emails I have received over the last 10 years. I have my login/pw for claims.mtgox.com But it seems that it is down for maintenance. I can log into material.mtgox.com, but it is mostly documents from the past.

people getting 10+ coins will need to make hard decisions. As to how to protect themselves from tax issues.

What is not clear to me: is it the full due amount or you are still waiting for more?
That's the full amount due because of the terms I accepted. If I was willing to wait longer (undisclosed amount of time, possibly years) I could have MAYBE gotten a bit more but considering I didn't have a lot on there anyway < 1 BTC I didn't mind just taking what I got. Still way more than it was worth at the time that I lost it and now it will never leave my hands again
And the real question is how many of the repents are at <1 BTC vs how many are at 10> BTC
You don't need to sell what you got it is not much.
But people getting 10+ coins will need to make hard decisions. As to how to protect themselves from tax issues.

In the previous bull run, Bitcoin topped out in the 'FOMO Intensifies' zone.
If we are to reach that area again, we're looking at a price tag of ±$250,000. 🫣

We don't go from a bull market to a bear market, merely because a correction ends up coming or the correction ends up being deeper and/or longer than expected.
You might want to add this... @BlackHatCoinerI am thinking that there could be a quote from a large number of forum members.. or perhaps any member with more than 100 posts would have some potential for memorable kinds of sayings (or at least the members who are posting with some level of coherence).
Today I ordered this full extras Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe 2024. I'll have to wait 6 months to get it, though. The good thing is that by then Bitcoin price will be much higher and the lease payments besides my salary part, will cost me less in terms of my stash. My realistic hopes are for the price to be such that it will be below 4% of my stash. I still can't believe how my desicions to start accumulating and hodling in 2016-2017 are bringing me such change and joy now. New town, new home, new job, new car and with the crossing of 100K possibly even a big house and a villa. Besides, I have a fulfilling lifestyle in a town with many culture events, restaurants and hospitals. I'm very happy!

Mtgox coins have started hitting the market. The first users are beginning to confirm having received their coins. Market only down $2,300 so far today and holding up well. I imagine the losses will accelerate as people get off work or start seeing their nest egg declining as well as more users receiving their coins. Still hoping we see some billionaires taking advantage of the liquidity to do some stacking so things don’t set off a panic.
Btw not saying that you got some price actions wrong lately… though I just not following the pad all the way…Yep.
These guys constantly calling for down will be right sooner or later, but frequently the down comes after up, and there are many examples in bitcoin's history, including recent history... There were people selling below $20k in mid to late 2022 expecting more down.. and there were even some others (or maybe the same ones) selling in the mid-to-upper $20ks throughout 2023, and how is that working out for them?
Yeah, sure we might see some down before up, but I doubt it is worth it to be failing/refusing to sufficiently adequately prepare for up, whether that is selling or merely failure to buy because of expecting lower prices that may or may not end up happening.
