Up we go.

I saw a temporary price of $10,340 in the past 30 minutes, which would be the highest price that we have seen since May 31.. of $10,429 - and that May 31 price was merely a blip...

So, surely looking for both pushing up above $10,500, hopefully being able to stay above that price or at least stay in 5 digits for a while, and maybe even better if we never see 4 digits again, but maybe I am saying too much? wouldn't be the first time.   Embarrassed

We're only a few hundred dollars away from a new AYH.

A few hundred more after that and maybe we can say goodbye to 4 digits for good.

Would be nice.

I need a bit more of a cushion before I will be waving behind 4 digits with any degree of confidence, even though I would surely like to see 4 digits in our rear view mirror forever and ever.

Break above the June 2019 price of $13,880-ish, and then I will start to feel more confidence regarding such adioses coming out of my keyboard.    Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

... some seriously weird behind-the-scenes charts in the gold market.

https://www.kitco.com/lease.chart.html

... the fiat funny farm is tearing itself apart, it's so large, has so much inertia and is taking years to play out that it is almost impossible for any one individual to describe the total collapse in detail.

As an analogy, imagine if something the size of the moon crashed into the earth in ancient times and all the individual reports described their local experience but nobody had satellites or aircraft to get higher level views of the totality of the impact. There would be reports of massive waves, floods, clouds of dust reaching to the sky, fireballs streaking across hellscapes, earthquakes and ground runctions that threw people hundreds of meters, mountain ranges either appearing or disappearing on the horizon. The reports would read like an alternate reality to someone living in 'normal' times. This is what it is going to be like for a collapse of the global fiat reserve monetary system, generally craziness on a grand scale in all economic and financial affairs.

Never selling
Judging by the recent increase after the pullback yesterday, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that our sideways days are over. I'm guessing this is the point where all the excess coins floating about have been purchased by long term hodlers, and the decrease in supply is now having an impact on the ability for sellers to keep the price down.

Steve Wozniak sues YouTube over Bitcoin scam videos

Quote
Bitcoin scams are causing a lot of headaches right now. They've gotten so bad that an Apple cofounder has sued YouTube because of them.

I've reported these copy paste scams for months and youtube has not removed any.

Not bad.  You've been here a long time!
Of the people who still post in the thread,  I've seen marcus_of_augustus in the very early pages (less than 20 I think).

... um, don't think I am in the early pages of this thread ... I notice a jojo69 post on page 2 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1860869 ... a simple "wow"  Grin

You're on page 22 and compared to jojo69's "wow" you come across as wordy with, "Good thread."  Is JJG one of your alts?!

What can we trust? Why is the 'information ecology' so damaged, and what would it take to make it healthy?

Finally got around to watching this. Found it pretty compelling. Enough so to mentally commit to watching part 2, which will be another two hours or so.

I had previously been unaware of Schmachtenberger. Deep thinker.

Hey, I am having a lot of free time this quarentene.
As WO is almost a forum on its own, I have made these 2 animations showing top merited and top merit senders only inside WO thread.

Click in the image to see both animations (top merited and top merit senders).

I used DdmrDdmr data.

Or just click the link: https://public.flourish.studio/story/488740/

I used only data of merit distributed inside WO thread.
