Anyone noticed that in the halving rally, BTC is outperforming the Top 10 alts? Generally, BTC move take others along and the lightweights perform better. Any speculation regarding this de-coupling?
Standard behaviour when Bitcoin surges big time. Usually, it takes 2-3 weeks for alts to follow along but this time, it seems different. The future of alts seems bleaker.

He has been offline at Bitcointalk ever since I sent him the BTC. He seemed to have a lot of successful trades from some senior members around, that's why I went first in the trade.

But when they see P/E ratios trending towards infinity? They'll be looking around for somewhere else to park their stolen riches. Bitcoin is as good as it gets from an honest analysis.

That's probably a pretty good idea, because many of us likely realize that there is no real "all or nothing" in this world, but there may be a lot of dissatisfaction that comes from striving towards an end goal that might never be achieved... however, that should not mean that we should not attempt to be in a place in which we are enjoying ourselves at a lot of points along the way.
Accordingly, we don't necessarily need to be able to say "fuck you" to the man and to be totally enabled to live on either passive income or in some citadel or island that we control in order to be happy, and each of us should be able to recognize that we always have a kind of island, but sure having more wealth gives us way more options within our own island.
So, for example, any of us who has 6 months to 12 months to even 1-2 years saved up in one form or another (whether we are referring to our bitcoin stash or some traditional investments or a combination of these), then we are going to be way more empowered to either say "no" to any employer who might be putting us in what we believe to be an unsafe situation or at least be able to negotiate better terms because we have more options. So, even if that is not complete fuck you status, it could be something that is working in that direction, and gosh.. might be difficult to figure out, too, when "piss off" status might be achieved.

You hit the nail on the head from my point of view JJG: I don't have enough money to completely stop working (and I really wouldn't want to, I enjoy doing work much of the time), but I have enough to tide me over for a significant amount of time where I can find a job that I like, is not going to ask me to sacrifice myself, and is something that I could say does "good" in the world (for whatever definition of good is mine).
That's a pretty powerful place to be and bitcoin+savings+skills I have acquired in fixing and maintaining life's stuff is a big part of why I am where I am. I'm glad for it, it's something I have kind of lived my life with this in the background: The ability to walk away from bad situations and never be enslaved to someone or something. I stay, I work, I love because it's something I choose to do, not something I have to do.
You know, that's worth a lot more to me than a Lambo. But that's just me.

No amount of money shoved into an engine can fix it by itself, and one of the consequences of this kind of disaster could be people having to figure stuff out for themselves instead of just buying the expertise. Example: Me. If I don't have a reasonable work environment, a purpose, and a goal then no amount of shoving money in my face will exceed the value of my life....Shove bitcoin at me though.... :-)
