Nice graph by @flibbr showing the traded price of 1 btc aginst the cost to mine one over time
Looks like a partial BS to me.
First off, I remember 2015-miners did not have huge profitability back then (that is erroneously shown).
Second part of why it is BS-because there is no sharp changes in profitability at the halving point (mid 2016, for example).
Recent numbers look OK.

Just imagine finding a USB stick on the street, all crushed by passing cars, and taking it home, repairing it, and discovering that it contained the private key to thousands of BTC. Wet dream?
Has happened to me once (sans the BTC). Found the remains of a USB stick on the street (only the PCB had remained, and badly damaged). I tried to repair it, but couldn't. Could it have contained Satoshi's coins? No one will ever know.
I'm paranoid like that...

i never use flashdrives that have been in other systems. i just destroy them if returned.
EDIT read only (ie finalized) cds are my friend.

#nohomoi actually reworded my post a bit in an edit as i saw it came across as kinda rude and directed at you . i merited a few of the posts with those images as they gave some chuckles.
i was making fun of donnie. making fun of POTUS, whether the person serving that office deserves it or not, is a time honored american tradition.

Not willing to defend anyone here, but 1,000 points when Dow Joans is at 20,000 (feb ‘15) are equal to 1,500 points when Dow Joans is at 30,000 (feb ‘20).yes, completely understandable. everyone has weak areas. his is math. ok and spelling. well, and honesty. and i suppose logic. and..
