Never selling
Corn is looking a bit sickly. I've noticed that as the price has been dropping the order book on the ask side grows fairly quickly again. In my mind this would indicate that for now sellers are chasing the price down. I hoping that this is not a large long-term down channel. See pic. Seems unlikely.

Nice graph by @flibbr showing the traded price of 1 btc aginst the cost to mine one over time

Looks like a partial BS to me.
First off, I remember 2015-miners did not have huge profitability back then (that is erroneously shown).
Second part of why it is BS-because there is no sharp changes in profitability at the halving point (mid 2016, for example).
Recent numbers look OK.

Thanks for this. Yes I blindly followed flibbr, but actually what's graphed is not the 'cost to mine' but

Takes QUANDL Bitcoin blockchain difficulty data, three variables (hashrate in THs/sec, power consumption in kWh, and electricity costs in cents/kWh) and calculates the base line for cash flow in US dollars. The default is an AntMiner S15 at 10 cents/kWh.

When price is above this line, miners with the given conditions have positive cash flow (i.e. they make more money mining than their running costs), and when below the line, they would be better off turning their rigs off (if this simple model can be applied to their particular circumstance).

Assumptions:
1. All costs are consolidated into one "electricity cost" variable, including things like rent and wages for mining farms.
2. 12.5 BTC/block emission schedule (update source code upon next halving).

So, exactly as you say, it is useless for 2015 times and the previous halving event, but fine since then - the 12.5BTC era.

Could anyone please send Biodom's post some merit?

The WHO no longer has a procedure to declare something a pandemic, official statement from 2 days ago.

WHO leader makes a public statement that the world must prepare for a global pandemic.

WHO declares that Corona-tama has peaked in china.

This is how entire cultures collapse. Nobody knows what the fuck anyone else is doing, everyone is lying and nobody is held to account.

This outbreak is a huge scandal/crime and we all going to pay for it.

CME chart is looking interesting, currently testing both the 200 MA on the 4 hr as well as the Daily chart (that are bullishly sloping upwards):

Volume has been dropping off, so as per usual expecting volatility to kick in based on bouncing of these support levels or falling to the "gap" of $8.5K:

Looks like it might be time to flush out some weak hands to make the next leg up stronger:

HSI’s intellectual property group leverages its relationship with the pharmaceutical industry to obtain actionable intelligence used to target the trafficking of counterfeit pharmaceuticals that contain opioids. For example, agents assigned to the National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance work with brand protection representatives to further develop investigative leads for HSI field offices. The BCSC has developed a Cryptocurrency Intelligence Program (CIP) which identifies unlicensed money services businesses in the form of independent cryptocurrency brokers’ use of peer-to-peer (P2P) sites, online forums and classified advertisements, and darknet markets (DNM) to engage in unlicensed money services businesses (MSB) activity. A large portion of these unlicensed MSBs are engaged in laundering narcotics proceeds, including opioid trafficking.

The only mention of cryptocurrencies in that whole 300 page shitfest, but quite enough to remind us the only thing these bullies want for us is to be sent to their re-education-through-labour camps where we grow kale and study the statist classics.

Regarding the CoronaVirus outbreak in Italy.
Why Italy?
I have a guess.
According to a Bloomberg survey, Italy has the fourth most efficient Heath service in the world.
This Service is basically free, or prepaid via taxes if you want.
Cost control has been tightened, but still the vast burden of it is on the central state (trough local governments) who can then spend how much they want.
I think in Italy a little bit less than 9,000 people have been tested for corona virus.
Other countries haven’t disclosed this information but apparently we are in the ballpark of 7,000 for UK and less than 500 (five hundreds) for France.
So this explains why Italy had so many cases. Other countries have the same percentages with CoronaVirus, yet they don’t know, yet.
