I really like seeing US policy turning more and more pro-Bitcoin. If the plan to establish a Strategic Bitcoin (BTC, not crypto) Reserve really goes through, we should expect to see a huge, possibly order-of-magnitude (10x) price increase in the coming year or two. It looks like 2025 will be a very interesting year for Bitcoin HoDLers, different from (and better than) past cycles. It could even mean that the "rinse and repeat" cycle strategy of some of us should, perhaps, be revised to something like "never rinse, buy when you can, sell when you must". I, for one, am very hesitant to sell large chunks at the supposed peak of this cycle ($200k? More?)... Will it really be the peak, or the beginning of a major long-term uptrend? Will there ever be a "Bitcoin winter"? Perhaps I'm too bullish and will miss the chance to multiply my stash by "selling high, buying low", but I just can't bear the thought of selling and not being able to buy back.

It's kind of sad that the EU does not follow suit and is still very anti-Bitcoin, but the US is bound to affect EU policy sooner or later.

Onwards and upwards. What a time to be alive!

What's that saying... "This time it is different"

For me it sure feels the same, just another set of different players now!... My plan to take some off the table is still in play...

But you are right in saying.... "What a time to be alive!"

The cunts unelected officials leading the ECB are not too different from the ones leading the Fed, actually. But the population in the EU is more fragmented and less sensitive to some issues - inflation in particular. There are wider differences from state to state than in the US, and single states can and will apply different corrective measures. Besides, people in the EU are mostly unarmed.

As Luigi has shown printed ghost guns can and will be used against mass murdering CEO's. It is very interesting year 2024. The stage has been set for a far more interesting 2025.

I saw the gold standard get removed my a 'crooked' president in 1970 or so.

Maybe I see the dollar have its place/backing altered again this time by a convicted president.

Since China found a bigass lump of gold in the ground it is in the best interest for the USA the adapt something to help back the dollar.

It could be that the idea of 1 btc being enough comes true in my lifetime and in the term of Trump. 2025-2028

Fingers are very crossed for this.

Things are really starting to look good. We are going to go much higher.

Senator Cynthia Lummis
@SenLummis
2025 will be the year for bitcoin & digital assets. With David Sacks as Crypto Czar, this will be the most pro-digital asset administration ever! 🇺🇸💵I look forward to working closely with
@DavidSacks

I have hard time figuring out name of this vege in English. In our local language (Urdu) it's called Kachalu and it belongs to family of Potato, both not recommended for people with Diabetes. Google AI says it's English name is Taro. Any English man can confirm that please?

Maybe it's a edible root.  Cheesy

It is taro indeed, but it isn't related to potatoes at all. Maybe only in a culinary sense.

yeah it is known as taro root in USA.

it is closer to a turnip more so than a potato.

it is a bit starchy so if you are diabetic do not eat it every day. It's ok in smaller servings once or twice a week.

My demented bro-in-law's aid is from Ghana and cooks it once in a while I like it. I don't eat a lot of it due to my diabetes. Just like potatoes just a bit of them.

Lots of peppers ,onions, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, tomatoes,  cucumbers, eggplant, squash, avocados.
Meat, dairy, fish. high fat, high protein, lower carbs good for my diet.

https://cryptoslate.com/satoshi-action-fund-reveals-potential-executive-order-draft-to-establish-us-bitcoin-strategic-reserve/

"Dennis Porter, founder of the Satoshi Action Fund, has unveiled a draft of an executive order crafted for President-elect Donald Trump to establish a Strategic Bitcoin (BTC) Reserve within the Exchange Stabilization Fund (ESF).

The order allows for an initial allocation of up to 2% of the ESF’s total portfolio value over an 18-month pilot period. Furthermore, it would use BTC in the US government custody as the foundation for the Reserve."

a potential S&P 500 inclusion a few months away

For some reason, I am doubtful about that. Inclusion in the S&P 500 is discretionary, and I think I feel some snubbery ahead. Also, Nasdaq may re-classify MSTR as a financial company and exclude them on these grounds. Also somewhat discretionary, but easily justifiable.

All the other reasons to be cheerful you mention are all valid IMHO.
