BTC + Crossfit, living life.
This dump looks exactly like 27.07 - 10200 to 9500 at once and after that to 9200. Both dumps are so identical that I think they are made by the same person. He didn't want to sell at 10200 but to bring the price down as much as possible. Otherwise he could have sold for hours/days if necessary. This may be related to some whale in bitmex who put earlier enourmous bids. I hope I am not right and it is just the usual stop loss/longs closing thing. Otherwise it would be sad that we can't break the 12K resistance because of one manipulator. Needless to say, Bitcoin will overcome again the curse of Bitmex. (And I think all hodlers curse these manipulators, so they have to live with a lot of bad energy around them!  Grin)

But all is OK. I've just sent 640 euro to CB. 10% discount is a nice bonus, if this is the will of the whales, so it be! The sum is too small, so I don't really care. This month I am happy to buy 0.11 BTC. So, if we stay for 10 years between 9K and 12K, I will be able to buy 10 BTC. And when we finally move to 20K (this is the worst worst absolutely impossible scenario of course), I will again achieve my goals in terms of USD. But I see  50K coming in 3 years of course! And after that, what I bought around 10K I will keep for 100K and so on! Living on the 10x principle! God, I wish I knew I had to buy when I first heard about Bitcoin - it was $280 that day! It took me 1-2 years to get into it. Well, no matter how late I entered, I just need an year at least half as good as 2017!

50k in 3 years, ffs what kind of FUD is this Roll Eyes 100k or we form a global Bitcoin militia and take action.

Two Bulls accusing each other for spreading FUD

One of the first times I don’t mind the price going down Wink

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
Let me explain it like this:

When I was really panicking in 2014,

I was trading on btc-e and I had like 2 btc on the exchange and I was playing the trading game. (buy high, sell low)

For example:

When it was Around $800. I sold some, but guess what? It went up instead of going down! Wtf, What to do now? Of course I bought back as soon as it went down to $825 from 850. Then it went down even further to $600.

That's how I used to panic. Stupid old days.

Then for a year or 2, I never touched BTC. Then started stacking in late 2016 with the new rules. I am still following those rules. So far so good.

LOL, well if you would not changed the pattern you would most likely not be here anymore. I doubt there is anyone that did not at least tried to daytrade. Some learn faster then others, that that they would better do if they would just wist a casino.

About the price. We all must not forget we are still in 2015. Yes it looked we are not anymore, but that was just an illusion.

I would say that we are in early 2016...  (which would mean the time period until May).   Alternatively, I would say that we are in mid to late 2016 (not sure if the blackswan event of the bitfinex "hack" of August has happened yet or not), but hey, there is only so much that can be done with fractal comparisons because none of the comparisons are going to be very precise when attempting to predict the future short-term BTC price direction, until taking a retrospective overlay..

Good morning Wall

Well..it seems we are reaching the peak of the 'golden cross' that sparked this baby bull run. Support has been punctured and we are in the cloud looking downwards. I had thought September was going to be a brutal month and spoke of it some months ago. Seems the market is doing what it has been lately and that is front running the storms. Ample opportunity to set some of those ridiculously low buy orders on your favorite exchange and hope to land a whooper. Probable causation? Who knows but inverted yield curves, brexit, tariffs and most likely...legal fees come to mind.

Payable in each winner's choice of BCH (ha!) or BSV (haha!). PM me your addresses, gentlewinners.

Hopefully, you are really joking about the pumpening of any bcash variants (aka btc attack vectors) (as forms of payment) in this bitcoin thread.

Nope. Done and dusted. No chance, you english bed-wetting type.

Hahahahahahaha

Funny that no one here, besides yours truly, seems to give a shit that you pump your bullshit attack vector coins here, as long as you make it fun and give some of them away...   Maybe says more about the receptivity of the WO participants to get scammed and shilled by a "fun lil" game rather than your slimy tactics of advertising your shitcoin bags?

Today I was inspired and I came up with the brilliant idea of suggesting to add the price of Bitcoin in the forum.
I have published the suggestion in Meta, it seems to me that the idea will not succeed. Cheesy

Comments are accepted with your opinion.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/add-real-time-bitcoin-price-in-the-forum-5179850

No need, there are plugin tickers you can use.

Of course, there are add-ons for this, personally I do not need add-ons or scripts or anything that adds third-party software between the forum and my browser, I work with 3 screens, I have no problem with this.

But if I am browsing or reading the forum, I find it comfortable to always see the real-time price of Bitcoin, that's all.

Bitcoin was born here, because it can't have the price online. Cool

Possibly as an option It wouldn't hurt. Also not everyone watches the price in usd.

it would be cool just for the WO thread though. Smiley

Btc/Usd

Just to warn the bears, we still didn't break to the downside. The red longterm trendline still holds. Even if it doesn't there are many supports between 9100 usd and 8900 usd. The most important weekly support is the weekly 21 EMA (blue line) currently at 8900/9000 which acted as a perfect support during the years. The bearish scenario would be the fall to the black trendline on the red line around 7300 usd.

Probably outdated source because in 2018 Portugal declared completly tax free for cryptocurrencies. Even today's cointelegraph news mentioned Portugal as one of the countries with no tax.

Cool! WO was discussing about that 6 days ago  Wink
and you didn't provide any link obviously...  Roll Eyes

I think y'all maybe missed the point of the link I posted today, this isn't old news from 6 days ago. The link explains that purchases with crypto are VAT free. This follows from a clarification by the Portuguese gov't a couple days ago. Note the quote below isn't talking about investment gains.

According to a report published on Aug. 26 by Portuguese business newspaper Jornal de Negócios, the Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority have confirmed that crypto transactions or payments are exempt from Value Added Tax (VAT).

Fastening my body armour to release another message:

Now they can buy via OTC deal and send the coins to bakkt custody. In this way the coins will be safe with the insurance bakkt gives.

Lol. Are you sure safe?

Bakkt ([email protected]) didn’t respond to my email:

Quote from: Which address format will Bakkt utilize?
Bakkt Operations,

Will the Bitcoin stored by Bakkt be held in legacy addresses that start with a 1 or in the new P2SH (pay-to-script-hash) aka SegWit addresses that begin with a 3?

I ask this question because I entirely expect one of those address formats to lead to ~100% losses next year.

I will not tell you which one. I am testing to see you all have done your homework.

P.S. Insurance against theft may be useless if the losses will not be caused by theft of private keys. Again if you don’t know what I’m referring to, then you have not done your homework.

About the price. We all must not forget we are still in 2015. Yes it looked we are not anymore, but that was just an illusion.

In all honesty from a TA perspective most of the charts dont look terrible imho...except perhaps the weekly. The wave packets of all the different time frames oscillate in and out of harmonics and at this time whilst most time frames show bullish or near bullish indicators the weekly has flipped to what I would call a bearish formation.  Its really not even that..its actually neutral but seems to be trending towards bearish.

I think the main difference today is that back in 2015 there was a real possibility that the great experiment could fail and many were fearful of not having a chair when the music stopped. I am fairly confident we are past that now and bitcoin is here to stay.

Also worth mentioning is that all we have known is the pump and dump mentality. We havent even reached peak adoption yet and the stability it might bring. 10 years later and many forget how early it still is in the game.

Perhaps I have this all wrong..regardless..for me...its been a hell of a ride and there aint no looking back.

The 0.618, the fifth of November...yada yada yada..

Bitcoin Lightning Payments Now Supported on Shopify

Quote
The Lightning Network was born out of the need for fast, seamless transactions that won’t clog up the main-chain of Bitcoin. With the OpenNode plug-in, Bitcoin Lightning payments help to take the industry one step closer towards mainstream adoption.

Thanks to the integration of OpenNode, the Shopify e-commerce platform now features a Bitcoin mainnet and Lightning Network plug-in for its more than 500,000 merchants. While on-chain payments on Shopify have been possible for some time through BitPay, the new plug-in brings quicker and cheaper transactions to the platform.
