4 Avalons seems feasible for what he wrote on Avalon's threads. He wrote a memorable post about the increase in price for the batch 3 Avalon- that's where he stated that being a poor researcher, just a hobbyist willing to support the network, he couldn't afford risking on a batch 3 Avalon... I liked that post, it touched my heart... But if you have + 5.000btc MORE (he said he cashed out for a RV already) you can definitrly afford a 75btc machine
