Anyone keeping up with this Cyprus mess?

It is getting pretty wild. Thanks for showing the world why we need Bitcoin.

haha lol. The surname of the head of the Cyprus Central Bank is...

*drumroll*

PANIKOS

Ba Dum Ching!

my numbers keep showing 73, is gox broken or is it me?

nah, looks like it's roughly correct and trades are trickling in on the websocket:

EDIT: highest ask: 72.99997, lowest bid: 72.99998. so when rounding to 3 digits or something you just get 73.000 all the time.

Isn't it funny how passing 70 resembles passing 7?

40 here we come!

I say someone (with more time on their hands than me) come up with the "Proudhon ratio".  Basically, a ratio of good calls versus bad calls. So if someone has a PR of 1:20, they essentially suck at making predictions. Whereas a PR of 1:5 would be around average and a PR of 1:1.5 or so would be stellar.

I'm not exactly sure, but I think Proudhon's own PR would be around 1:150 by now.

Where can you set a stop loss? I was going to write a small watchdog program for that but that would depend on a server running and internet connectivity.

Bitfinex.

Why hurry? Why punching an opponent that can't fight back? Rest for a while and have a drink, bears need weekends too! Undecided

You talking to me? Yes it's all fine to just personally miss the opportunity to buy (cheap/at all). Too bad. But what if I have all the syndicate's money behind me and I kind of promised to lock in at some price? It is like getting caught in a short squeeze, and is not fun.

Today there's plenty of asks so problem solved, thank you Smiley

Nah, I was talking about the relentless bulls.

Oh good, I am too fickle to fit in that category. Lucky it never fell to $42 which was my stop-loss a week+ ago...

Me too, or I would have retired already.

Morning Proudhon,  I'm not the first to point out if you call top all the time and there ever is a significant fall the odds are you will have called it right Smiley  However I would not be surprised to see a chunky drop in price over the weekend.  I'd actually be happier if it did even to way below my last buy-in price because it assists with distribution, gives a chance to quick-gain folk to get out and in many eyes increases confidence.  All I really want is for there to be a reminder for potential buyers that the price can and will sometimes go down before they get too silly!

But whether this happens now from where we are today or in a week or month from wherever we'll be by then I don't really mind.
