Like I said earlier, the bids are getting exhausted.  We're getting closer to the reversal.
This is true, and it sounds very wise.

Indeed, but if strong hands bought then it doesn't matter.
I'm surprised we haven't been pushed down to $50. Maybe bears are tired of buying in higher?

the UK such gains are taxed at about 18%, however if the fx is held offshore and spent offshore then the UK tax rate is zero.

What has happened to my country?!  That over the course of my own lifetime the British, who remain loyal and avowed subjects to a monarch, are more free than I am!

I need to move, but I can't (legally) take my firearms with me.

Just wait 'til Bitweapon.

I'm running into difficulties fitting the whole thing in there bit by bit. However, I expect this to be a minor technicality and it should be finished soon!

Today I bought all coins below $69.90 in Bitstamp when Gox still had that wall (at $68.9x). See what has happened since. The ask volume in Bitstamp is so pathetic that I would cry if it helped! "At least 100 bitcoins needed to $77" F*ck yeah!  Grin

At least 100 bitcoins needed to $79.

Are we talking about the 2nd biggest exchange, where you can buy $7900 worth of bitcoin and influence price by 2.5%.

LOL, this's got to be the top, since the bulls cannot buy any more...

LOL; LOL If there is nothing left to buy in stamp, and the f-en gox wont let my money clear I can as well go to sleep. Good night bears, see you tomorrow!!

FOr the record: I *canceled* the silvervault partners bitcoin purchase offer, because there is none to buy any more, LOLOL.

100 satoshis -> ISO code
No kidding. I'd be significantly out before then. I could take care of everyone in my immediate family (pay off their debts) and set my mom and pop up in a house that is fully paid for.

Don't forget the fact that you lose half in taxes  Sad

I can't get a straight answer on this.

Some people say 15%, some say 50%.

Then someone rolls in and flames the shit out of everyone for thinking about paying taxes, lol.

In the US foreign currency gains are taxed at 15% (some exceptions though)

What's the next largest exchange after Gox based on volume?

Bitcoinwatch says it's bitstampUSD with 9,000btc over that last 24/hr. Gox is more than 10 times that.

Excuse me pointing out the obvious but somebody has to - unless this was the last ever ATH?!
Someone yes, but it's hard for me to believe it's the newbies. And if you noticed, the coin goes up in huge waves => big, weird buy-ins.
I have to admit making at least 3 ath:s this year Smiley

Buying at the top has become a prestigious honor!

Yeah, it does not fall on you every day...

I hope you all appreciate this epic rally.  I am in awe.

What impresses me the most are the "little" buys. 2, 1.4, 3.4, 4.1 BTC etc...

That is what is needed to hold the price after the large buy orders.

I am enjoying it thoroughly  Grin

Small buys could be small investors, but also bots.

Of course. I buy a few coins at the top when I could've waited an hour and buy cheaper. Happens everytime with me.  Embarrassed

Well, if it happens every time, try the following: when you are ready to buy, just write down the price on paper or in a spreadsheet. Then wait for a better price to make your real buy. Keep doing that until it stops working to get you better prices - then you may be ready to buy without going through the paper buy first. And if you are doing the paper buy first, but you find that your real buys still go against you significantly, try to be more patient about waiting for a better price before you make the real buy. Basically this is a method for trying to outdo your natural inclinations, and it can help if you find that your natural inclinations don't work very well. If you are trying short-term buying and selling, then it's probably better to stop and just hold. Short term trading is very hard, and for most it will turn out worse than just holding.
