Why has the whales changed their strategy? I don't see a wall/brake yet, do they decide to allow the bubble to form?

Walls been used just to play a stress/psychological game on bears! It seems they are done buying all they needed and now we are open to a new stage of unclear possibilities. It seems to me that Walls wouldn't show again under 40$ "at least for the coming 3 days".

I think it's one stone three birds, the ask wall/strategy can be used to cool off the market, stress the bears to sell to them cheaper, and gives the hype enough time to propagate, that's why I am surprised I have not seen one yet, actually someone puts up a buy wall instead.

Seriously though, now would be a great time for somebody with tens of thousand to exit this market.

They did, at $19, $21, $26, $31, and did I mention $26? They tried to pull it off twice.

...and what would you suggest they do with the funds then?

Wow that BitSpend site looks sweet.  Nice to see someone develop that ability for using coins at any site out there for the most part.

Also on the Kim news, cool.  Oh I mean, Rally!

Meanwhile over on BitFloor, I just sold BTC0.78515 at $49.95/BTC.

/world record  Cool

what the... really?!?

EDIT: "bitfloor -- a glimpse of the future"

Sellers have always been scarce on bitfloor.  Now they are an endangered species.  I've been mentioning this in various threads for months, but people must still be scared because of the hack.

And the fact that they only do ING P2P deposits, least last I've checked.

That's a deposit method.  They don't do withdrawals that way.  Just regular ACH.  They also have other deposit methods if you do want to buy.

I used to use them back when I was able to deposit in any Wells Fargo bank, do they still offer this?

For a while it was only wire transfer and ING P2P, but they recently started using LocalTill which allows you to make a cash deposit at a Bank of America branch.

First BitSpend and then KABOOM. Kim Dotcom just boosted Bitcoin with 2 direct endorsements, first one a tweet about Bitcoin as the future of money that everyone should use (https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/308615839974817793) and then a second one where he said he wants to create Megacard, a Bitcoin credit card (https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/308617409311432706). This is motherfucking huge.

I'm surprised for 3 pages this was not discussed. Kim Dotcom endorsed bitcoin twice in one day like that.

Option 1: Kim was behind the recent bull run letting his herd of 300k followers know about bitcoin skyrocketing soon to sell with profit (pump and dump)

Option 2: Kim is genuinely interested in making a bitcoin credit card.

For me option 2 would mean he would find out if it works, buy bitcoins, assemble a team, buy more bitcoins, sign contracts and then let the public know. The fact that he publicly talked about such a thing tells me he never would ever work on actually doing this which gets me back to option 1. Honestly for him being an ****ole option 1 was the more likely option anyway.

I don't understand the buyers there. Aren't they aware of other options?
[/quote]

No they don't. I have been involved with BTC for 7 months very heavily and I am not aware of any good options of obtaining bitcoins in fact they dont exist.

Coinbase.com has worked very well so far, but I keep my account empty as often as possible.

If you have a routing number and account number for a US account they can send you money.

I was thinking: if I opened up an account there, will there be a method for me to get my money out(available for my country).  Then I realised: no matter what exchange you use, you can always get funds out using bitcoin (and convert them to normal cash/bank deposit using a more local exchange).  Not a genious insight, I know, but sometimes the realisation of bitcoin's awesome potential has to drip through slowly.  Apparently there are still some knee jerk "old school thinking" reactions left in my head  Smiley .
