Re: Tipping Dealers

Recently a man tipped a waiter a car1. Tipping is a way of saying you are satisfied with the service offered and you are saying thanks. From what I know about tipping dealers, you can either choose to tip a chip or a sidebet2. It is a norm in the United States. For those who have ever tipped a dealer, have you been so satisfied with a dealer that you tipped them something other than a chip, money ?

2. https://www.top10-casinosites.net/tipping-live-dealers/

Have you ever complimented a dealer? Have you ever bought the dealer a drink? Have you ever tried to fuck a dealer? Is it ok to gently caress the ass of a dealer as you play whilst you have a crywank over your continuing losses? Is it ok to punch the dealer in the face when you lose? I mean, the topics people dream up to try find something vaguely gambling related never ceases to amaze me.

You just made me laugh for a couple of minutes straight! Grin Grin I think we should invent a time travel machine and go back to save dinosaurs until it's not too late Grin.

But yea , some people really type words without a proper thinking or having some knowledge about what they are suppose to talk and even if it's funny , it's also sad on the same time.

What about Aliens ? I think when they see posts like that , they don't want to come here anymore  Grin

Could blockchain technology have saved the Dinosaurs? Will Aliens accept bitcoin as a payment to not invade us? Would they sell us their spaceship for bitcoins? If so, how much? Could bitcoin be alien technology and are they going to use it to enslave us?

Funny thing is, I thought that bitcoin being created by some sort of alien or maybe even a sentient AI system would make a great premise for a film and then there's the good AI vs bad AI and they duke it out in an epic battle. There's also this crazy Elon Musk-type billionaire guy who's created simple AI androids that can do basic tasks etc but the bad AI is trying to hack/hijack them and put their digital consciousness into the machines to try weaponise them and become king of the world and enslave us all. Then there's the big bad military wanting the droids to weaponise them for their own obvious reasons. Think of some sort of a cross between I Robot, The Terminator, The Matrix and Ex Machina. Hardly original but I really like the possibility of an AI creating bitcoin for some good or maybe even bad reasons. Maybe you don't even know which is ultimately the good or bad AI or there's a twist where the good AI was actually the nefarious one with ill intent all along.

Bitcoin during the holocaust

Imagine what a help that would have been. Some people don't even think about the past and how history tends to repeat itself. However, this type of inhumane doctorine exists today in communist China and many other cou countries, unfortunately. And it might be brought to a country near you soon in this day and age. It's a good thing humans have bitcoin now. 😎

What's next? Bitcoin in the time of cholera. Bitcoin during the medieval plague. Bitcoin in the garden of Eden. Bitcoin in the Jurrasic period. Imagine if dinosaurs had bitcoin? Maybe they would have never gone extinct. Stupid dinosaurs.

For the supreme court to verdict, SBF to jail for 115 isn't good enough because, after 115 years in jail, he might come out and commit another crime.

Considering that Sam Bankman-Fried turned 31 today.

They must be sending him to one of those cryo-prisons from 'Demolition Man'.   Cheesy

His subliminal rehabilitation will be to never again be in a position where they are responsible for the money of others...  Or they'll send Stallone after him.   Cheesy

He is holding bitcoin because his funds are held in bitcoin:

Bitcoin holding can ve was taken as a psassivething, as much as I work for money I will keep holding bitcoin because my funds are held in bitcoin especially if the assets are held in a cold wallet.

That's literally ridiculous and not good at all when a newbie sees another one making shit comments and who doesn't know about BTC at all, this will make a different impression on the mind of a newbie who thinks that another newbie knows better than him. RIP to these posts and I hope this shit is getting deleted timely.
And to the poster - Please keep holding your Bitcoins because your funds are held in BTC.  Cheesy

And the way he said "a user can not create a Bitcoin address without going through verification and confirmation of the validity of the address before authentication", made me think that he's addressing people to be ready to do KYC or they won't get any BTC address assigned to them lol.

you as a user can not create a Bitcoin address without going through verification and confirmation of the validity of the address before authentication, so don't be so gullible not to notice the error message of the address if not valid or valid to an already existing wallet.

Thought this response was a joke at first:

What is kidney stone :
Kidney stones are hard deposits of minerals and acid salts that stick together in concentrated urine.

I only had kidney sand and that was terrible, can't imagine how the stone feels like

Turns out he's a SEO spambot but his post did make me laugh (unless kidney sand is a real thing  Cheesy.  Maybe kidney sand turns into kidney stones?).

I've reported it, so you may not see this gem for long.
So, guys and gals, if you don't want to have problems with your bitcoin wallets,  make sure you clean them properly and use leather conditioner!  Cheesy Cheesy
This is not weird at all, don't you remember Trump's suggestion on how we could destroy covid? By injecting sanitizer.🤣

Total Newbie.  Apologies for a dumb question.  Please help.
I've been sitting on a BTC wallet and a 'legacy' BTC address since 2009.  The wallet starts with the number 1.

It's a bitcoin-qt wallet and I've just opened it.  It was over 730 weeks behind.  There is an orange header at the top of the wallet with a message

"URGENT: Alert key compromised, upgrade required"

Do I need to do anything other than let it sync?  How would I update the wallet?

Updating an old wallet can be a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be. Depending on the type of wallet, you'll want to take certain steps to ensure you are keeping it safe and secure.

For leather wallets, make sure to regularly clean it with a damp cloth to remove any dirt and grime. It's also important to use a leather conditioner to maintain the leather and keep it from drying out.

If you have a wallet made from synthetic materials, use a damp cloth to clean it but avoid using any chemical cleaners. If the wallet is starting to look worn out, use an appropriate patch to prevent further damage.

Finally, you'll want to make sure your wallet is up to date with the latest security features. This may include RFID-blocking technology, a locking system, or a tamper-resistant zipper. By taking the proper steps, you can make sure your wallet remains safe and secure.

I've reported it, so you may not see this gem for long.

C'mon can't someone just toss a bone to a guy who got screwed over hard in life.
I discovered Bitcoin in 2008 and despite that I have nothing to show for it because of a f'd up life.

Well, I discovered bitcoin in around 1978, but I did not know what it was going to be called until 2008 - but then again, I did not even realized that it had been named in 2008 until 2013-ish - because it was not until 2013 until I got reacquainted with the thing that I had found out to be called bitcoin that had been budding in my head since 1978, but I had not yet realized what that thingie was that was budding in my head until a later point in time (ie.. 2008 that later transmorphized into 2013)... #justsaying, that's how it happened with me.

'The right to privacy matters'
You talkin' about me?

This. I haven't been around for very long but my spidey-sense also tingles when I see usernames like that. Yesterday, I wanted to merit a newbie for putting some obvious effort into this topic, but their username followed that pattern and together with their low activity, I just couldn't bring myself to do it, I don't know why. Undecided
I had to take a look at the PMs in my inbox to see how many requests for post history reviews I've gotten from members whose usernames fit that pattern, and there were two (though I deleted the ones from members I've banned from making further requests).  And it seems like the members with four digits after the name are the least likely to make decent posts--granted, I'm not presenting proof here, just saying what my own spidey sense is tingling about.  There are a lot of fine, upstanding members of the community who have the [Name][1-3 digits] format as their bitcointalk handle.

Maybe all of that is in my head, but I distinctly recall the time before the merit system when I was tagging shitposters and I'd come across that pattern constantly.  End of off-topic rant.

hey

philipma1957

is not on that list of 4 digit people.

BTW I have noticed a lot of 4 digit  after the  names  that are merit farmers

Many gambling casinos right now is giving a good RTP to their games because this courage a lot of members or players to play in their gambling casino, also regarding the exact algorithm or variable with it because this is confidential with the database connection, but still, there's information in the internet that could be used as references to the RTP of the casino.
Sure, that's a weak post (seems to be deleted now) but I don't think it's outstandingly shitty, is it? I mean, it doesn't make me want to scribble out my will and walk into traffic.

Yep, that's pretty shit if you ask me.  Question: what's RTP in this context?  I'm too lazy to visit the thread from which this shitty shitpost originated from, as my eyes have been exposed to too much retina-burning nonsense as of late.  "Return To Player"?
Yup, I had to look it up, but RTP = "Return To Player"; 2% house edge = 98% RTP. Speaking of your abused retina, I understand why you (instinctively) didn't look it up yourself, because holy shit are there some terrible articles about it out there, so thanks for resting your eyeballs at the expense of mine.
