If you are talking about wallet hacking, it is quite possible if the user is somehow careless with it. I have also heard about some sort of advanced computers that can hack anything. But the bottomline is to be careful with your login details and security details this will minimise the risk of being hacked

Well, i have not experienced it before, but i have seen people fall victim of it many times. Sometimes, i have been opportune to know the reasons behind it.The only wallet that is 100% safe is hardware wallet. Every other wallets have the tendency of being hacked if care is not taken.
Some people have tried to be careful, yet they got hacked, which is why it is still recommendable to use hardware wallet.
I think hackers can crack any wallet if they want to do this. That is why we must very carefully protect our private keys.

Not really sure that MEW have 24h staff because honestly, it's a website with a running online wallet, they don't offer any kind of premium service, even the source code of MEW is out there and you can build one in your local server.

Of course it is possible !) You have to be very careful with your passwords and private key storage. Basically is very good to use separate PC and smartfone for crypto. It will be much cheaper than worth of hack....
